If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.
You all know the story of poor little Charlie Gard. He is a little English baby who has a rare disease who the monsters in the English Health Care System want to kill. The doctors in England say there is nothing more to be done and want to take him off life support. His parents want to bring him to the US for some experimental treatments that have no guarantee of working but at least give him a chance. They raised over a million dollars so the National Health Service will not have to spend a penny. But they went to court to kill this baby and were backed up by the globalist scumbags of the European Union.
At first the published opinion of the Catholic Church was that this poor baby should die.
The Vatican's Pontifical Academy for Life published this horrible statement:
The proper question to be raised in this and in any other unfortunately similar case is this: what are the best interests of the patient? We must do what advances the health of the patient, but we must also accept the limits of medicine and, as stated in paragraph 65 of the Encyclical Evangelium Vitae, avoid aggressive medical procedures that are disproportionate to any expected results or excessively burdensome to the patient or the f otheramily. Likewise, the wishes of parents must heard and respected, but they too must be helped to understand the unique difficulty of their situation and not be left to face their painful decisions alone. If the relationship between doctor and patient (or parents as in Charlie’s case) is interfered with, everything becomes more difficult and legal action becomes a last resort, with the accompanying risk of ideological or political manipulation, which is always to be avoided, or of media sensationalism, which can be sadly superficial.
In other words listen to the National Health Service and let your child be taken off life support because it is more convenient and you have to listen to your betters. Never-mind that there are people willing to try to save your child and you raised the money to try. Sit down and shut and let your baby die.
This Pontifical Academy is stuffed with Pope Francis's appointees including an Anglican Theologian who endorses abortion. It is the same deal as what Obama did with the Deep State. He appoints radicals to foster his agenda while keeping his hands clean. These appointments obviously reflect the Popes position as he is busy demoting and exiling Conservatives like Cardinal Burke.
Once the blowblack for the faithful started Pope Francis decided to do some damage control.
His office offered this tweet:
“The Holy Father follows with affection and commotion the situation of Charlie Gard, and expresses his own closeness to his parents,” reads a statement issued by Greg Burke, the pope’s spokesperson.
“He prays for them, wishing that their desire to accompany and care for their own child to the end will be respected.”
The pope’s message is aligned with his frequent denunciation of what he calls a “throw-away culture,” a term he uses to describe ways in which those society deems to lack value are discarded, such as unborn children, the disabled and the elderly."
Where is the fire? Where is the Brimstone? Where is the Shepard who protects his flock? Where is the Rock of the Church who would defend the most helpless among us? Why is he not putting the full force and majesty of the Catholic Church behind the battle of these parents to save their baby if if humanly possible to do so?
The Pope is trying to cover his tracks. He is trying to dial back the opinions of his appointees. In fact they are splitting hairs on whether is statement supports the continuation of efforts trying to save this baby or just letting the parents take their baby home to die. As usual they are trying to explain away and make excuses for this Pope.
President Donald Trump is ready to do what he can to save Charlie. To help his parents in what might be a forlorn hope but still their only chance. I bet he would even pick up the tab if they asked him to do it. Personally. He does stuff like that all the time and it is never publicized.
The globalists, the medical mafia, the National Health, the EU, the pro-euthanasia press and the Devil all want this baby to die. Sure it is only one tweet. But we know where the God Emperor of the Cherry Blossom Throne stands. I know where I stand.

Unfortunately I know where this Anti-Pope stands as well.
An abortion advocate on the Pontifical Academy for Life. I never thought I would see the day.
God Bless little Charlie Gard. God Bless his brave parents. I pray for a miracle to save this innocent child.

I what the real Pope, Ratzinger, thinks
Chip I am sorry if I stepped on your toes.
I was just in the zone and was typing away like a maniac and didn't notice what you had ready.
Please post it as I think this story needs all of us to comment and lend our our voices. It is worthy of ten posts.
Thanks.
I hope the parents get the ability to bring themselves and their precious little boy over to the states and give him a shot at life, unlike the NHS single payer system the UK has that is effectively nothing more than healthcare rationing death merchant style.
President Donald Trump is not only a better Catholic than the Pope, he's turned out to be a better man and a better American than any of us ever imagined.
And, yeah, Mr President, do what you can. There's a lot more people here who have your back than you know.
PS Troop, all the way. Great post.
So how is everybody on the glorious 3rd? I hope nobody BBQ'ed today. I mean BBQing two days in a row just ain't right. So I hope everybody here left off the BBQing till the glorious 4th.
A completely OT question. Has anyone here had a root canal? I'm in step two of the three step procedure and it's already cost me $1450. That's right, one thousand four hundred fifty. Step three will add another $350 for a grand total of $1800. Has that been your ballpark experience for a root canal? Or am I being skinned? I should throw in that my dentist's taken two X-Rays so far and maybe a third at the end, so that's included in the total. I know bitching and moaning doesn't help but HELP!!!
Regarding the state functionaries sentencing this infant to death: What did Chesterton say? When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing in anything.
I had one done last year and it sounds about right. A bit more than mine, but what are the factors?
When you consider root canals are no longer the chamber of horrors they used to be, maybe it's worth it.
Thanks, dutch. It helps to know the cost isn't out of line.
The idea that the government gets to make the decision is absolutely grotesque.
Can they go to the US Embassy and seek political asylum, as their government had declared their infant son an enemy of the State and sentenced him to death?
Of course, the MSM doesn't want to report this, because it's the end result of gov't. run health care. Surely this couldn't happen here, right? Wrong. Surely this will happen here.
This is very good, Troop. I'm glad I wrote mine before seeing this. It would have affected my opinion.
I didn't even think of the pope. From my point of view as lapsed Protestant popes have always been amusing religious decoration inserting themselves ineffectively between me an my bud, Jesus.
The pope's comment was good, the statement by the Vatican official was terrible.
The problem is that that Popes Vatican Pontifical Academy for Life that issued this letter. Filled with Pope Francis's people. Included a Anglican theologian who is pro-abortion.
They got caught this time because people were paying attention. What are they doing when nobody is paying attention?
