Via Instapundit: Duquesne University Student Senator Niko Martini proposed a resolution at the March 26 student government association meeting to stop the arrival of conservative fast food before its too late.
“Chick-fil-A has a questionable history on civil rights and human rights,” Martini told The Duquesne Duke. “I think it’s imperative [that] the university chooses to do business with organizations that coincide with the [university’s] mission and expectations they give students regarding diversity and inclusion.’
That resolution failed but the student government did agree to another resolution that would allow for a “vetting process” of the new restaurant.
Martini’s campaign has been embraced by the university’s Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) where Martini is a member of the executive board. The GSA says Chick-fil-A poses a clear and present danger to the group’s “safe place” on campus.
“I’ve tried very hard within the last semester and a half to promote this safe environment for the LGBTQ community. So I fear that with the Chick-fil-A being in Options [an on-campus food fair] that maybe people will feel that safe place is at risk,” GSA president Rachel Coury said.

Those waffle fries should scare the Hell out of them.
It's indulgent and fatty, but I like LGBT sliced thin with pickles on a sesame seed bun.
Maybe the guy would be more comfortable at Sh!t-fil-A.
“Chick-fil-A has a questionable history on civil rights and human rights,”
When I read something like this, I don't need to question the mental state of this individual. I know they are batshit crazy and their sense of reality has been twisted by being a part of that campus organization. The types and levels of indoctrinating brainwashing that goes on at these campuses is frankly the real civil and human rights violations.
For Heaven's sake, what is "conservative fast food"? Whatever it is, it angers that student. Perhaps it's the kind of food that his bowel "conserves" thus preventing unfettered access.
These Catholic universities like Duquesne and Georgetown have really gone off the rails.
Can we make a list of certifiable batshit crazy people? Here is a start...
Tiny House Hunters
People who fear Chik Fil A for its support of traditional marriage
Most Liberals
Whites who embrace the idea of White Privilege
People who think Amy Shumer is funny
Delicious fried chicken sandwiches are apparently scary!
Now for me, hamburgers and steaks are disturbing.
It must be incredibly easy to rise above the deep snow of the modern university. When I was there, the biggest threat to success was sex, drugs, and fun. Those who sufficiently controlled those appetites could stand out and get their money's worth leaving the rest of us in the dust. Now it seems the dust is laden with snowflakes distracted by idiocy. Stick to the labs you STEMs, and make some robots, because your colleagues who will be looking for jobs from you soon are simply unemployable.
Vetting process for a new restaurant in their neighborhood: YES
Vetting process for immigrants from crazypants countries: NO THASaRASIST
