Ivanka Trump, for example — just picking someone at random here — is no stranger to vanity awards. She has been honored by organizations such as the European School of Economics and the Diamond Empowerment Fund’s GOOD Awards. (Tagline: “Diamonds do good.”)
But Chelsea, like her mother, never gets a break — unlike Ivanka and her father.

I think what the writer means is that Chelsey never gets a break... as in coffee breaks. Starbucks hasn't made a donation to her dads sham charity or something.

I was thinking the same. People "donated" boatloads of money to the Clintons on the assumption that there was going to be political favors dealt back.
Think about it: Neither one of these grifters has ever held a real job since leaving private law practice (Shaddup) and yet their living it up in pricey neighborhoods, wearing very expensive clothes, jetting about privately, etc. Despite the fact that he's a dull disgusting anti-semite and probably a big ole genuwine authentic down home race/sexist to boot, at least Carter went back home and stayed there and at least Amy Carter generally keeps to herself.
