See? It has a tape measure pulled from it's mouth. It's just a tiny tape measure glued to the back side inside the hollowed area.

* This belt buckle is terrrrific! It is solidly made and with the tape measure built in, has turned out to be lots of fun.
* Love it!
Win.
Just the other day I needed a tape measure. Imagine having one on your buckle. All the other buckles are ordinary and rather boring. Even the turquoise ones.

How charming.
It's kind of weird that, just a handful of hours ago, deep in the throws of insomnia, for the first time in maybe 40 years, the thought occurred to me that I'd never known my father to wear a belt with a regular belt buckle. He had maybe a dozen or so of those Western-style belt buckles.
I don't think he was making any kind of fashion statement or anything. He just liked them.
Anyway, it's kind of weird to have thought that weird stray thought out of nowhere and then see this post about a fish/tape measure belt buckle.
Think of all the things you can measure!
I have been looking for a belt buckle for quite some time, close to two years. After seeing that one, I am still looking.
I used to work with a guy from Boston, an Irishman from Southie, probably the best natural comedian I ever knew. Funny guy. One glance at that buckle and I immediately thought of the phrase he used to use, "Trouser trout".
It would stop a bullet!
As a person who knits, I often need to use a tape measure. When traveling I have a "knitting bag" for the yarn, needles, and work in progress. I'm often struggling to search for my sewing tape measure in the bottom of the bag, usually tangled up with the other items. Having that fish/tape dealie attached to the knitting bag is a great idea.
I was wondering why the fuck would a fish need a belt buckle. After a cup of coffee I realized that the buckle was for the fisherman who definitely needs a belt buckle, because.
A belt buckle with a tape measure in it is a great idea.
Here's the thing about tape measures: the one you have when you need one is always too small, and the one you have when you don't need one is huge.
My Dad has a fish and Moose belt buckle.
Need to measure fish. Are they legal?
