Show Hillary the money!

Hillary Clinton has received nearly $75,000 in political contributions from employees at the Department of Justice, the agency that would decide whether or not to act if the FBI recommended charges against Clinton or her aides following its investigation into her private email server.
Justice Department employees have given Clinton far more money than her rivals, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Donald Trump, according to a review of federal campaign contributions for the 2016 presidential cycle.
Hilary Clinton is the largest beneficiary of donations from Facebook employees this election cycle, having received over $114,000, more than any other presidential candidate.
The Facebook money is on crooked Hillary. "Facebook Manager in Charge of Trending Topics Is Max Clinton Donor"
The person in charge of Facebook’s Trending Topics section, which has come under fire in recent days over accusations that the social media platform deliberately suppressed news articles that were published on conservative websites, is a maximum donor to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
Tom Stocky, Facebook’s vice president of product management, issued a response to the report that was first published by Gizmodo by claiming that he has not found any evidence that the accusations within the report are true.

Right now, the only DOJ people that matter are the ones at the FBI that want a presentment.

Or else.

Amazing to me how Hillary needs a media crutch to survive.

If her cronies who are on the take like she is, and if the corrupt media dropped her highness, she would be a footnote.

I take it all back. She's the experienced criminal in the race.

Most of these people do. Willie would have long been history without the media covering for him. Black Narcissus wouldn't have even left the starting gate.

Bernie is the unknown to them. They know how fucking corruptible HRC is. They know Bernie is a fucking retard.

Bernie really is dumber than a bag o' hammers.

True, but he's on Hillary's Left flank and makes her fight a two front war.

I predict social media, including FB and Twitter, is going to become less and less important in the future. It was totally oversold as a business marketing tool and it's basic default function is to allow individuals to "market" themselves to a select cross-section of the public ("friends") with pre-fab videos and gifs. Hence all the virtue signaling and animal videos (look at meee! I love cute animals! I looove Obama. I'm a good person.) It's substance-free unthinking hype for would-be-celebrities and has always been channelled to the benefit of lefties. This selective news feed on FB story is completely unsurprising. You don't need Facebook if you have actual friends. You call your actual friends on the phone and go over to their houses. At the very least, you email them. The only useful function FB has ever served is that it's a good way to find old friends that you've lost touch with.

Trump is going to beat her like a baby seal.

If they ever have a debate (which I highly doubt that they will) Trump can say "Hillary I made a lot of money in the private sector. A lot. A Yuge amount. But you have been in public service for most of your life. How exactly did you amass your YUGE FOURTURNE! Who paid you off and for what. I know I had to pay you off to come to my wedding. Not because I wanted you there. It was virtue signalling to the Democratic Knuckleheads I deal with in NY. You know when the building inspector comes to my office and sees a picture of me with you or Mike Tyson or the Reverend Herbert Daughtry they will know that I am down with the Dems who fill their rice bowl and get them there jobs. So I know why I paid you off. What did all the other people who gave you money or Bill or your foundation get for their money. America wants to know. I'll wait for your answer."

Amartel, you may be right, but only up to a point.

The 'Net is a great way of breaking down barriers and connecting. that's not going away. What will go away is to entrust such means of communication to "citizens of the world" like Zuckerberg.

Facebook has really changed for the worse lately. We used to be able to reach a lot of people with our Facebook posts about new products or lines we have in the store. But Facebook altered the data stream so the only way you reach anyone is with "promoted posts." The cost isn't all that much say $40 to $100 per shot but it adds up.

Social media was all new and fascinating back 10 years ago, and perfect in 2008 for posting excerpts from the Daily Show featuring Mean Republicans saying things then cutting to Jon Stewart shocked face. Now I think even for those morons who still don't realize or don't care that their social media news feed is tweaked left, it's all kind of old and busted. I'm not saying handwritten letters are coming back into style (not a horrible idea given that nothing on your computer is private), or that FB and Twitter won't continue on for a while, but the thrill is gone.

I have never seen a pop-up ad on FB or my email service for a conservative political candidate or cause. Ever. Meanwhile, that dopey Hillary with an arrow ad is always popping up latelyl, frightful Hillary face included. I don't think it's effective advertising but it is everywhere.

Writers look to vary their words, phrases, etc. "Rice Bowl" is now quite played.

Trooper York said...

Writers don't take advice from people who don't have an ounce of creativity in their soul.

My wife is a writer and asks for my advice all the time. She values my advice. She labors hard varying her vocabulary, phrases, etc. Bean counters are some of he least creative people I know. Conducting investigations and doing undercover work requires constant imagination, instant pretexts, thinking on ones feet. My ability to be creative, think on my feet w/ a shotgun pointed @ my head, literally saved my life. Well, there are some creative bean counters. They often end up in the joint.

Telling you "rice bowl" is played is good advice. Now, you may not like criticism and certainly may not like it from me. But, you should back off on it and find some other metaphor. Pretend this is advice from a sycophant.

Trooper York said...

People are full of what they think is good advice. You have to consider the source.

People like Karl Rove and Frank Luntz and Paul Ryan all want to tell Trump what he should do for his own good. He can safely discard their advice because their job is criticism. They don't come from a good place. They might say that but it is not true. Their actions tell a different story. That's all they can do. They haven't run for President. Well I take that back. Ryan ran for Vice President and couldn't even carry his own state.

You should take advice from a sycophant with a grain of salt. You take advice from a noxious critic of all you do with a bushel of salt.

You know, I am probably wrong about not beating that "rice bowl" like a dead horse. It is a good metaphor. And, one of the main tenets of propaganda is to find phrases that create the emotion you want and then hammer it, hammer it, hammer it. Another technique in propaganda is to build straw men you can demonize. Any conversation, be it about sports, language, metaphors, anything..it always comes back to Trump and all the evil people out there. Classic propaganda.

When I see people who I've known for some time, people I like, who were never like liberals, now acting exactly like liberals, being emotional and illogical, I try and determine what it's about. I mean I get the anger @ the govt. I'm as anti govt. as they come. But, this anger is @ everything that moves, or ANYTHING that is not total Trump. It's just maybe 2 or so that are confounding me. This is about more than politics I think. Politics is the conduit for the anger. But, the root of the anger is not political. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
