"Sex researcher Debra W Soh says, ‘People will often ask me whether hypersexuality is truly a disorder, and in the field, even medical professionals are not fully in agreement as to whether it is and what it consists of’. It’s little wonder then that for people who do have it, the intense shame and distress that surrounds the disorder can be heightened when they ‘come out’. Lara says, ‘No matter how many times I had sex, it simply wasn’t enough. It was never about quality, just quantity – there was never any satisfaction in it. Food, sleep, work, family – I wasn’t able to focus on anything until I finished. When I eventually told some friends, they found it quite funny, but one thought I was trying to justify my sex life by shifting the blame on a disorder. People seem to think it’s constant gratification, but they don’t realise that it’s as serious as a drug or alcohol addiction.’"

Great way to contract all manner of nasty diseases.
No doubt it's a problem.
Most of us grow out of that by our mid-20s.
Would a hypersexual man claim he got little pleasure out of the act? No. This is another mysterious female "problem."
I could see "sex researcher" replacing "marine biologist" as the go-to occupation for aspiring young Costanza's.

Hypersexual men might be considered rapey.
