"Britain became the latest country to commit military resources to the fight, as its Parliament voted overwhelmingly on Friday to authorize air strikes against Islamic State targets inside Iraq. Prime Minister David Cameron told the House of Commons before the vote that the extremist group presented a genuine threat to the United Kingdom, and warned the fight against the self-declared caliphate would take “years” to win."
As to the efficacy of an air campaign alone strategy...
I guess I'm just going to have to trust that Obama and the Progressives know what they're doing here killing anything that moves.

It's bullpucky up and down.
Now I'm glad they are flinging arrows in the dark, but...
let's see the growing coalition includes Islamic states that have next to zero technology or military? right?
OT:
WASHINGTON - After a dismal winter, the U.S. economy expanded at an annual rate of 4.6 percent in the spring, the fastest pace in more than two years, the government reported Friday. The solid rebound is expected to provide momentum for strong growth the rest of the year.
Bullshit!
Grammatical corrections galore.
Don't sip those fake cocktails.
If England truly wants to help, they need to bomb places in their country first.
Didn't the Brits trade all of their guns and weapons for their nifty NHS free health care (especially if you're healthy!) program?
"It's bullpucky up and down."
No dispute there.
"Islamic states that have next to zero technology or military? right?"
Perhaps that was tongue in cheek as, they have everything we have, just about. Whether they can use it as well as we do is a different subject.
Though kudos to AllenS for sizing up the real situation. The real enemy isn't external, but internal.
Excellent, chick.
The Limeys, of all people, should know bombing alone doesn't get it done.
XRay - I really don't know. do these Islamic states have what we have? If they do, then, despite what our breathless media report, why is it only the US using the arsenal?
come on Saudi Arabia - get the lead out.
No, AA, I spoke too generally, they don't have exactly what we have. I suppose my point, if I had one, was that they do have sufficient, and in some cases sophisticated, weaponry to cause great damage. As to technology, no disagreement there, as they have less than zero of that.
