Maybe closer to Walking on Eggshells and Rolling the Dice--with rabbit ears up, waiting to hear and see how this whole thing plays out and unfolds.
I picked our first daffodil today-- the only one that was in bloom while the rest of the 400 tulip and daffodil bulbs we put into the ground this fall, are in the green 'shoots and leaves' stage. Even though it's still in the 40's, the sun is strong. And I'm thankful to have made it through to celebrate another spring, after breast cancer in my body was found in November, addressed with surgery in December, and radiated in March. Technology that wasn't available when my grandmother died from breast cancer shortly after my birth in the mid 50's made it possilbe for that disease to be detected while it was still hidden and growing in me, and I'm grateful it was found and is now hopefully gone, or at the least, arrested
Even with the world in turmoil, it's good to be alive, praying for peace and for the goodness of grace and truth to prevail.
This isn't a good time to be making light of things but I'm going to take a shot at it anyhow. There could be a 'whole lotta shakin' goin' on' in Tehran which has me thinking that Trump is the Jerry Lee Lewis of American politicians. Great balls of fire? He's got 'em.
They're both bad boys who left a long trail of admiration and outrage behind them but when it came time to rock that's just what they did and there wasn't anything that could stop them.
Watching Jerry Lee pound that piano and imagining that it's Trump makes me laugh which is about all I can do regarding Iran and other issues of the day. 'Hey mama don't treat me wrong' could be applied to MTG, Kristi, Bondi, or anyone else who crosses 'the killer”. Too late to worry about what he should or shouldn't be doing. If Trump wants it to happen it's gonna happen.
