Tripped over this one and was skeptical,

to say the least, but finally got some confirmation.  Don't know how many of you saw this, but it's a, "Yeah, I'd have gone, too".

Turns out Trump and Netayahu were right on the money. The headline - Trump attacked before Iran nuked America, saving millions of lives - pretty much says it all. The long and the short of it is during the peace negotiations being mediated by Oman, the Iranians bragged to US officials that in 6 days, they were going to be at 90% enrichment and that they had 5 long-range missiles ready, which they were going to arm and launch as soon as possible, in order to get rid of the Great Satan.

Whether it was a bluff or not, I have no idea, but the idea the mullahs would be that stupid floors me.

This would mean  anywhere from 5 - 50 million Americans (if they hit Seattle, LA, and San Fiasco, probably more - prevailing winds) dead and a lot of infrastructure gone. This is why Trump is doing to the mullahs what Eisenhower and MacArthur did to the Krauts and the Nips in '45 or what Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan did to the Confederacy.

Why they're playing this sotto voce, I'm not sure. Clearly, once this does get out (and it will, I have no doubt), forget Rushmore. America's going to build a new mountain just for him. The Demos are trying to stem the tide by talking draft and doing the Vietnam dance, forgetting how Brandon was talking draft as a way of cutting unbemployment.. It won't work, simply because this is a war fought with high tech and special operations and the kind of WWII-era dumb draftee the Demos envision in a DEI Army isn't needed.

I am hopeful this isn't prepping the battlefield for a false flag nuke incident.

Otherwise, propaganda to make OK what we're doing is cheap. Something about blaming other people of what we are doing stuff?

Seems I recall such prepping for Vietnam was the now known to be false Gulf of Tonkin event.

You might want to look up Jerico 3 ballistic missile with the range to hit anywhere in America (and most of the world it seems) and is armed with the ONLY KNOWN NUKES in the Middle East Israels.

And the nuclear capabilities of Israels

Israel's Dolphin-class submarines are equipped with nuclear-capable cruise missiles, providing the country with a potent second-strike capability and enhancing its nuclear deterrent.

Odd how North Korea's "Little Rocket man" managed to build a crude such weapon system that can barely reach the West Coast of America and those EVIL Iranians in 47 years of hostilities didn't.

Feels almost like Alice in Wonderland with the fog of war and propaganda.

Building ballistic missiles isn't cheap nor easy but Israel managed to recycle our tax dollars into this ODD NEED.

Whatever it is or isn't, there's a whole lot more going on than meets the eye. As for the mention of Israel managing to reycle our tax dollars for this ODD NEED, would that also fall into the category of blaming other people for what we are doing?

Mama please expand so I can answer you properly.

Or are you unaware that we give Israel SNIP

The central, consistent claim across the supplied analyses is that the baseline annual U.S. commitment to Israel under the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding is about $3.8 billion per year —typically described as $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing (FMF) plus roughly $500 million for missile defense—while exceptional wartime support since October 7, 2023 has driven additional tens of billions in incremental military assistance.

And in addition, we give military money and weapon packages frequently in support of their efforts to create New Gaza real Estate and invade Lebanon.

Could you point out for me what Israel has given us? Aside from recycling the USS Liberty?

First, the mullahs are a lot better organized and funded than the Norks, second, GOT is overrated by the Left as the reason for moving into 'Nam (the hocus pocus about Jack Kennedy being hit because he wanted to pull out is part of yet another Lefty wet dream), and third, the mullahs have been at war with us for 47 years and been behind almost all the terrorism directed against the West.

Apparently, protestors are burning mosques in Iran; that's how unpopular the regime is. Dubya was right to go into Iraq as subsequent events proved and I think Trump didn't want a distraction from domestic events.

How's 'bout fighting several wars we didn't have to?

PS Your point about Israel giving us anything is irrelevant to the question of shopuld we have gone after Iran knowing they were getting ready to nuke us. In common parlance it's known as cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Some of my in-laws specialize in it.

I appreciated this post by Rabbi Michael Barclay today on PJ Media, especially the following parts at the beginning and end of it.

https://pjmedia.com/rabbi-michael-barclay/2026/03/10/tuesdays-iran-update-from-rabbi-michael-barclay-n4950467

"Some people believe that war is all about finances, making money, changing economic fortunes, for both individuals and countries. Some people believe that wars are for power or land. And some believe that wars are based upon religion or philosophical differences that cannot be resolved peacefully. We know that for Iran, it is about theology. For Israel, it is about existential survival.

And I suspect that soon we will see what the real motivation is for the Trump administration....
Chaos is becoming commonplace in this upside-down world we live in. But in the Torah, we learn that before there was Creation, there was "tohu v'vohu" — "chaos and confusion" (Gen. 1:2), and that it was out of this chaos and confusion that the world was born.

May all the chaos and confusion that we are experiencing now, and have been for over two years, transform through our efforts and God's will into a new creation: a world of true and lasting peace for us, for Israel, for the United States, and for the world.

There was also a part in the middle that stood out, explaining the "sowing of chaos" behind the Iranian attacks on neighboring states. And if there was a plan in play to bomb the US, that fit with the goal of ushering in a Day of Judgment and the coming of Mahdi. Making more sense to me of what the
"why"(behind why the Mullah's would be so stupid as to do so) might involve.

LOL, gee how many of those wars actually would have affected America?

Would Saudi Arabia stop doing the Petrodollar if Israel lost the fight?

They have been 30 days from a Nuke for more than a decade.

Like every time Israel needed their big brother to help it comes out.

The boy who cried wolf story.

So, Ed what's your take on the Iranian "Sleeper Cells" we were told about let's see more than a decade ago?

If they exist they are the MOST PATIENT Terrorists in History.

We are in my opinion in MORE Danger from CONgress and activist Judges.

You forgot the /sarc tag.

The issue is the TRump[licans buy it. As for how would they have affected us, you conveniently forget the Cold War and that the Arab states were clients of the Russkies, not to mention we were dependent on their oil back then. Like it or not, those wars forestalled a Big Power conflict.

I think the motivation may be less obscure than the good rabbi suggests. Trump likes his operations quick, clean, easy, and short. Reason suggests he's not crazy about this. As I noted somewhere, this is a distraction from the biz at home, namely the SAVE Act.
