Are you aware while we are cheering on our "Team" to beat the Iranian "Team" that some 40% of the world is counting how many days until they have to plant and FERTILIZE those crops, so folks don't starve in the fall (When last year's crops are generally eaten up).
They get their fertilizer where we are having that little sports war going. They are not getting much if any.
Oh, they are also counting the days of fuel they have left for those silly things like running trucks, tractors, POWER GENERATORS, you know lights and such.
Did you know that America IMPORTS some 15% of our farmers fertilizer from the war zone?
That South America that provides about 15% of the food on our plates (fresh fruit, veggies, 100% of our coffee and some 40% of our beef is 100% dependent on fertilizer NOT going out of our little war zone?
Not going to just get expensive to eat, simply put less in the stores to buy at whatever price. Our fertilizer factories already run at full capacity. Maybe in a few years we can build more factories, but hunger is on the menu even in America.
Who gets screwed FIRST? Fixed Income folks, you know Senior Citizens, Retirees, the working poor who barely scrape by now. I personally know of Walmart and Grocery store full time employees that already couch surf with their kids and sometimes I see them living in their cars in the parking lot.
The masses of clothing, blankets and kid stuff in the car gives it away.
My POV is someone that works EMS and volunteers at the food bank, so I see poor folks in my line of work. They don't get health insurance so they have to call EMS when their kid is sicker than they can handle.
But, But, But 47 YEARS. The WORLD Doesn't care about our tit for tat schoolyard level spat with Iran. We've killed far more Iranian civilians than they have killed AND wounded together AMERICAN Military in 47 years.
Oh, sorry that's just in the past TWO "wars" Started by US and Israel both times.
In my 2 decades plus service for Uncle Sam I expected danger even death serving my country. I got lucky just some % disability from that IED in the sand box. I DIDN'T expect that my family at home might be bombed for the glory of Israel, but Iran's civilians have enjoyed that for 47 years.
We're not knights in shining armor here. The Iranians knew we were going to attack, we strutted around with a large navy task force for what a couple of weeks threatening them.
Then we finally attacked DURING the Diplomatic Efforts making a Martyrs of the ONLY Rag Head over there that STOPPED them for DECADES from building a Nuclear weapon. A religious FATWA that He honored for decades.
You know like December 7th 1941 a day the will live in Infamy style attacks, twice but at least the Japanese didn't kill our President to kick it off, eh?
You know WHY Iran fully knowing we were going to attack AGAIN waited?
So the whole world would know that America and Israel started the war AGAIN. Just 6 months after the last one finished.
I am praying America will survive our own folks hungry from this little sports war.
I'm pretty sure the Gimmie Dats will be rioting mad their EBT cards don't give them their freebees. They rioted a couple of years ago when just a few states had a 72 hour EBT failure. Remember that? Media was pretty quiet about that as the Government told Walmart and such "Just let them take it for free" and we'll reimburse you for it.
I was also recently told/advised/schooled (as if Michael is the only one in the know) that TY posts here regularly. Which makes me wonder if he's a paid operative, one step up from a bot, or maybe on the same level, just as thoughtless.

Reminds me of those guys from a few years back that used to call from "The Department of Windows" with Indian accents so thick they were barely understandable, claiming my computer was in severe trouble that only they knew how to fix.

As for calls, I get 30 or more a day. If it is a young woman I say "Let me know if you are being held against your will at the call center and I will get help!" They hang up immediately.
Open eyes and modicum of reading skills would allow anyone sincerely intent on personally addressing a poster to see and read the blue letters located at the bottom of each post indicating the name of the poster and the time it went up.
I hadn't thought of that line! I used to let their dishonesty irritate me, and finally got to the point of ignoring them and hanging up, which is likely what's called for here, since at this point the hat has been tipped--several times! Or maybe that's the wrong expression. More like a tell in poker, where the presence of verbal/behavior clues and tics give away the game.
