I thought this video of Protestors and Their Spirit Animals, full of sound and fury, delivered some apt comparisons, but found it easier to listen to on mute. The amount of emotion being released by the human protestors astounds me. Maybe such holding forth is a form of catharsis, in addition to allowing them to feel purposeful and alive while floundering around in the river of denial, contending with nihilism, and getting swept away by group think.
I'd like to see someone waving a No Kings, No Queens, No Fools sign.

Maybe they're dreaming of being 18 in '67. They weren't supposed to trust anyone over 30, but they're so far over that hill they don't even remember the bump.
