For those who don't know, Ben Vandervoort fought on his broken ankle for a month.
None of this seeing the Americans take the surrender of Japan on the fantail of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay makes me all wee-wee. But what do you expect from a slug who tells Americans on the 4th of July not to be patriotic.
PS As I've said before, my favorite character in the movie is hard old General Marcks, who wasn't fooled for an instant. "When you create a diversion, it's for a reason. Invasion. Hier. In der Normandie"
