I'm assuming the clip of Mike Pence was an example of someone who understands science, right Tyson? After all, evolution is a theory and not a fact. Or is there confusion between the concept that things can and do evolve, or the climate can and does change; with the science that describes how and why? And if there is confusion, then Pence's argument is even more credible, because people need to understand the fact that evolution occurs is not the same as understanding why and how evolution occurs. And if you stop at just, "it does so it is settled", then you won't progress. For millennia, it was fact that the sun went around the earth. It was when people question how and why that we learned a great deal more about our planet.
Tyson doesn't seem to understand that even Albert Einstein could not return and convince us to cede our technical and political primacy to the third world. Scratch a warmist and you'll find a SJW.
"It's just not fair that white breeders get to drive SUV's while sub-Saharan Africans must subsist on next to nothing. We need to tax carbon and transfer that wealth."
The funny the is many of the Big Oil companies are pushing carbon taxes, because most of them own lots of Natural Gas reserves, and carbon tax would make those deposits much more valuable. It's only people that NdGT call scientist that think a tax is how to solve the problems with solar power.
So there I was at the local Whole Paycheck this afternoon and I saw a Chinaman trying to park his tiny car in the normal size parking spot. I watched with considerable amusement and Troop's comment came to mine. It was all I could do to avoid laughing out loud.
Back and for and back and forth and cutting the wheel this way and that and still ending up in the wrong spot. Funny stuff.

Science is NEVER settled. Global warming is the religion of secular progressives.
As annoying as Tyson is, he is still not as annoying as Bill Nye the Annoying Guy.
But the two of them together almost triggers me to lose it completely.
He's a warmist. To hell with everything he says.
Neither video is about science. The second video is purely engineering; the first video is purely political.
Tyson should run for something political. In today's politicized science climate, he could get a Nobel in Physics.
The maudlin oboe adds gravitas to Tyson's persuasion.

Science requires a cello.
Is that a cello, rh and not an oboe? My bad.
I don't know about any of that, but those guys used a bicycle chain on the trike.
Wimps.
Manly men would have stuck with the chainsaw chain.
Who goes to black guys for science advice.
That's like going to a Chinaman to learn how to drive.
LOL! Or and Frenchman on how to fight.

You mean the sun doesn't still revolve around the Earth? Well ah'll be...(in best Fogghorn Leghorn voice..)
Scott Adam's blog is not to be missed for all things global warming
"And we would have gotten away with global wealth transfer, if it weren't for you meddling kids."

Virgil, I heard Al Gore boards the golden chariot each morning to drag ol' Sol across the sky, but that might just be some private jet he uses.
Chagall. Happiness wouldn't be happiness without a violin-playing goat.
Science is the same way.
Scott Adams deleted my excellent technical comment on global warming so screw him.

OTB. not used to non-oxen powered vehicles.
