I wouldn't say they were so low key, but I don't recall many times her standing up in an unrelated forum to present her views. But she's from a time when, like other industries outside Hollywood today, you knew not to mix your personal and professional opinions.
Bob Crane was the local AM DJ in Bristol, CT[WBIS] when I was a young kid. He would announce when snow cancelled schools. So, I was listening to a pervert on snowy mornings. Auto Focus is a flick worth seeing if you want to learn about Crane.

She kept them low key enough that I don't know her actual political views, though I suppose I could bing and discover them if I cared enough. I don't.
She did great work, wonderful work. And the world is better off having had her in its midst.
