The cast of Hamilton bravely criticizing the Vice President Elect sounds a note of utter naivete and a betrayal of their origin story.Link to the tweets reposted above from the publisher of the Federalist Website: https://twitter.com/bdomenech/status/799838518075854848
Hamilton built his career on respect. Respect for the citizen and the marketplace.
Hamilton did not hold to any view that placed the citizen as subservient, in need of protection from the state
He instead believed that all citizens possessed unto themselves the rights not expressly diminished by the Constitution.
The description of fear expressed by the @HamiltonMusical cast perverts the very meaning of The Federalist Papers and our Constitution
It suggests a universe where our rights are not intrinsic, but are bequeathed by government, dependent on executive protections
To accept such a view of our status is to break faith with Hamilton and all his peers who saw things otherwise.

Speaking lies to customers.
David Burge: "Besides that Mrs. Pence, how did you like the show?"
One wonders how all the snowflakes will react when most of the country rejects their little tantrums and says, "Thank God the adults won".
New York values.
How ironic that TRUMP's reaction is worried 😩 about things liberals care about. Safe space and respect.
Trump's safe space and respect comment is about perfect.
Here is the relevant Trump tweet:
"The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!"
Post election Trump is very presidential.
the biggest underplayed surprise yet I believe.
But the incredible box office success of Hamilton has been about the very well heeled theater crowd being able to congratulate itself on its embrace of the "other's" barrio-ization of our Founders and our founding. The actual founding principles? Puhleeze.
Trump is playing them like a violin.
This is typical of the theater mo's. They depend on tourists to keep the lights on but love to shit on them non-stop.
The wife and I love to go to the theater but you basically have to realize that it is an ultra liberal night out. I remember when one of her girlfriends turned fifty and insisted that we all go to see "Kinky Boots" to celebrate it.
I was the only straight guy in the theater.
Hamilton is a bullshit overpraised lie. It always has been. It is on the level of a high school play.
Nothing adults need to be concerned with.
It is ultra-liberals jerking off.
Sort of like the "Daily Show" or Colbert.
Since it is supported by the liberal elite they should enjoy themselves. But real Americans should pass it by.
Agree with E on the tweet.
It's existential judo at its best.
I had the same Kinky Boots experience. Got dragged to a drag show which was kind of a drag. If 90% of the people in the theater are in drag is it drag anymore?
Troop, I remember when you went to Kinky Boots...but (excluding you of course just taking the wife out for her birthday) what straight man goes to see Kinky Boots?
Spam-A-Lot does a whole number on this...
And this number too...
Broadway can not afford to alienate the tourists who come to see the shows.
#boycotthamiltion is trending. I wonder if that gives them pause?
I doubt it. They never learn.
Republicans buy sneakers.
Heh.
If only you all could understand not just why I was disgusted, but also how offensive I found the crap pulled by the "Hamilton" cast, the other day.
Not to mention the deafening silence, for the most part, since I did a full on, full stop, no bullshit, informed call-out on the topic on Facebook.
As always, in these sorts of situations:
I am fascinated.
