Like so many people, I drive a lot more now. I use to fly a lot for biz and leisure. Now, I always look to drive first. Used to be the other way around. Travel is the best education. If I were Captain Queeg like, I would say maybe the Dems want to keep everyone in their own little neighborhood, ignorant of what's out there. That would be paranoid.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
And I'll say what I've been basically saying for years. If Donald Trump (or any other aspirant) promises to eliminate the TSA and follows through, he'll get the lifelong vote of everyone who's flown in the last 13 years or so.
