We all wish for Cass Sunstein what he wishes for everyone. To be nudged for eternity. By the elephant in the room. His elephant. The elephant of of his own massive arrogance.
It is Cass's elephant, not mine. A donkey would have been too obvious I suppose. You can buy this book used for $2.00 right here but who would want to do that? Honestly, why would you want to read a book from guys in government who think nudging by government is a good idea?
Oddly enough, lots of people do. 390 people rated the book. Let's see what people who rate this 5 stars say. They have to be very odd people, don't you think? This is the first review:

They argue that totally free markets can lead to disasters precisely because human individuals are not actually very good decision-makers.
What they argue is that, in the face of our decision-making weaknesses, Governments and Businesses can help "nudge" us in the right direction. The elephant in the room can be benign.
They call their viewpoint `libertarian paternalism' and what they argue is that it would be a good thing for some gentle nudging of the citizenry in the right direction.
Ugh. One review. Don't you hate it already? 36% of 390 reviewers rate the book five stars like this. They actually like the idea of being nudged. I'm imagining all this, with food lunches and extra special gender bathrooms, and the like, that all goes so well, where to live, where to work, how to commute, what to eat and drink, where to buy your goods, how to dispose of things, how to sort garbage, composting, what to grow inside your house, around your house, in your gardens, proper water use, proper fertilizer use, pesticides, fires, firearms, fireworks, fireplaces, clothing, child rearing, marriages, everything. They actually want government to direct everything.
Cass Sunstein and his ilk have the whole representative government thing reversed. They cannot stand people being so stupid. They think it's a good idea for people in government to be paid by tax revenue to tell everyone and nudge them in how to live. And not the other way around, that is the citizens telling their government how the government is to live.

This Cass ass is the archetypal Harvard smug shithead. We Ct. Yankees know all the Ivy Leaguers are pompous, but Harvard is in a class by itself in producing Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. types. Boola Boola.
