“Everyone deserves to feel like they belong,” the statement concluded. “You’ll always be accepted, respected and welcomed at Target.”
Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder added that the policy statement is a public confirmation of its longstanding policy. “It’s just us being very overt in stating it,” she said.
Customers and potential customers almost immediately spoke out against Target’s decision to ignore the biological difference between men and women..."

Target is headquartered in liberal Minneapolis. My daughter worked for them from high school through college. They always treated her well. But, they are liberal and have the most liberal return policy in retail. They also have state of the art video surveillance.
But, not in the bathrooms!!
Have your pepper spray handy women, and blast any dude in there, saying "He threatened me!!" That will change the policy quickly.

ricpic, I think this issue is winnable. But, women have to take the lead. We w/m's are always going to lose. But, if regular women start pepper spraying men in their bathrooms and expressing fear, this table will turn.
As long as I can remember, the Target in our town has only one unisex dressing room. I don't buy my clothes there, but my sons did when they were teenagers and I would stand waiting for them as people of both sexes came and went. It never occurred to me how odd that was for some reason. Don't know about the bathrooms. I try to avoid public bathrooms when at all possible.
