Wisconsin Death Trip?
So Trump is traveling and campaigning in Wisconsin. I am only familiar with Wisconsin by my interaction with Cheeseheads on the Internet. There are wonderful people like Michael Haz and Nick Spinelli. There are the dregs of humanity like the Evil Blogger Lady and her pet troll the Lawnboy. So it is your basic mixed bag. Much like anywhere I guess. Just with more cheese.
The interesting thing is that the Donald is eschewing additional debates. He feels he has debated more than enough. Everybody has seen him answer the gotcha questions and the ambush videos that people like Bloody Megyn Kelly and Charo from Univision que up to screw with him. He takes them in stride and gives the same circular evasions as any politician will in the circumstances. Nothing new there. But there is something new in how Trump is handling the media.
The meme that the Cruz fanatics will press is that Trump is afraid to debate the Glorious Ted of Harvard Yard. I don't think that is the case. I think he is just tired of the bullshit debates that only make money for people he feels hammer him day and night. Like Megyn Bloody Kelly. But Trump is not afraid of answering questions. It seems like he is on every newscast or cable show from Morning Joe to Midnight Blue. Now he is pushing the envelope.
Now Trump is doing a Town Hall on MSNBC. With Chris Matthews. Think about that for a minute. MSNBC. Chris Matthews. It would be as if Hillary did a Town Hall on FOX with Sean Hannity. What are the chances of that happening. Matthews can hit him with both barrels. Give him what the main stream media is going to hit him with in the general election campaign. Why should he bring Cruz into the mix. Let him have his own Town Hall. I doubt Cruz would do it with MSNBC or Chris Matthews. Even though Teddy is the greatest great in the history of greatness.
Do they throw cheese in Wisconsin town halls?

you know who else Chris Matthews loves and feelz leg tingles.... Hillary.
Trump-Hillary 2016.
If you can get leg tingle boy in your corner.... Well, we shall see how fair he is. I suspect Matthews will be entirely fair to Trump. Chris knows the path for Hillary to the White House runs through Trump getting the nomination.
Do you think Ted would do a Town Hall with Chrissy on MSNBC?
Or would he duck it?
From your link:
" Graul believes immigration will be a “messy” issue in 2016, but that it might not break the way conservatives expect. This is due in part to the needs of the Green Bay industrial core, but it also the dairy farms in the rural parts of Brown County. “You’ve got a dairy industry that would cease to exist without immigrants working on these dairy farms,” he says. “You’ve got food processing industry, particularly the meat packing industry, that would have to shutter its doors without immigrant labor.”
In Brown, the Republicans on the farms and the Democrats in the city may actually swap the traditional positions on immigration. The family farm has changed, and it takes outside labor to make it work. “You can’t make it work anymore on thirty cows,” Graul explains. “So farms are getting bigger to survive, and they’re getting bigger and bigger. And they need workers on those farms, and they’re not going to find that from white kids coming out of Bay Port High School. They’re finding it in immigrant labor.” "
Cruz has handled the leftwing hacks really well during the debates, I certainly don't think Matthews would be a problem for him.
Trump can handle anyone one-on-one but when it gets to be 2-1 or 3-1 its a bit much.
Cruz is very good at handling people and debating. The problem is he's not very likable.
If Trump hadn't run, he wouldn't be this close to the nomination. The media would've gone after him and he wouldn't have been able to handle it the way Trump has.
Interesting point and counter to what we hear so much on the blogosphere.
Trump has no problem bearding the lion in his den. Chrissy, for those of us who remember "The McLaughlin Group", regularly had his head handed to him by Pat Buchanan.
The One True Ted would expect good manners.
FWIW The Blonde, who has her own ideas about everything, says she thinks Trump is an excellent debater (she also liked Fiorina), but thinks Cruz is a dud polemicist. She is just an average working stiff, so I wonder how much of all the punditocracy handicapping of who won what debate really matters.

Sweetie, HotAir is as much in the tank for ABD as PJMedia or you. If you're wise, try to find a more objective source for any wishful thinking.
ed - everything that isn't properly pro-Trump ass-kiss is now off limits (mind crime.) Got it. btw- you do know that Trooper posted the link, right?
April I don't think what you linked to says what you think it says. You see Trump is not afraid to beard the lion in his den. He might have no idea about the subtleties of the way this issue cuts. Or he might just be consistent in his views on immigration and will let the chips fall where they may. He may be oblivious to the minute distinctions the wonks have calibrated. I don't know. I would like to see.
I just know that Teddy wouldn't do it. I am sure they offered him a Town Hall. Why isn't he doing one?
Hey look! We both bearded a lion ed?
Unlike Hillary who needs a beard because of Huma.
Great minds think alike.
April nothing is off limits.
I love when you bring it. Keep it coming. At least you are passionate about your views. That makes for a fun debate.
You know what happens when you lose that passion. You wander aimlessly into traffic weeping when the highway patrol picks you up.
Wait? Was that mean? Sorry.
I found it interesting because real people HIRE immigrants to do labor our young people refuse.
Thanks, Troop.
Trump is such an outsized personality that most people have formed their own opinions of him. When the media tells us who Trump is they are either reinforcing their opinions or revealing the media's prejudices. There are large parts of Cruz that are unknown. If only subliminally, we rely more on the media to tell us who Cruz is. Cruz has more to fear from a hostile media than Trump.

I'm just making the point that because a link has something that sounds good doesn't mean you take it on face value any more than you take one from a site biased against your POV without making a critical judgment.
I don't take everything Gateway says as the end-all and be-all because he is so over the top for Trump.
And I don't panic at what HotAir or PJmedia says, either.
Good advice for anybody.
ed - I'll read what I want to read. If you want to cut yourself off from everything that isn't pro-trump - you do that.
btw- The anti H1B visa stuff is silly. These are workers who come here, work and then leave. They are under our supervision and they are not allowed to stay. They are migrant workers.

Cram it.
You know exactly what I'm saying.
You're so damned blinded you can't even accept an alternate point of view.
What's this about a midget?!
Trump is holding a rally Tuesday in Janesville at 4 PM, then a CNN town hall in Milwaukee at 8PM. Busy day. Janesville is Paul Rayn's hometown.
Then with Chris Matthews in Green Bay Wednesday.
His polling must show the possibility of turning the election in his favor if he can gain votes in south central Wisconsin, and in the northern Fox River Valley, say from Oshkosh north to Titletown. The Milwaukee CNN event reaches nationwide and statewide, and could help Trump chip away at Cruz's lead in the conservative counties that ring liberal Milwaukee County.
As far as being interviewed by Chris Matthews - smart move. It shows Trump's willingness to reach a non-traditional audience, and may net some blue dog votes.
Cruz is Elmer Gantry....without Burt Lancaster's charm to soften the blow. It's over for Ted.
Bernie took WA and AK away from Hillary, we'll see about HI.
If The Donald wanted to scare the Hell out of DC, he'd make Bernie Chair of the SEC.
ed - you are hilarious. you are a blind faith trump supporter and you won't read anything that doesn't pass the pro-Trump test.
Queue.
))) BANG (((
I accidentally shot the editor by accidentally picking up this loaded gun and accidentally aiming it at his head and accidentally squeezing this little dingle-dangle thing right here. Look. ))) BANG ((( See? it did it again.
These things should be outlawed.

Don't project, sweetie, it's impolite.
I read everything, even HotAir. Unlike you, however, I subject everything to the same skepticism.
When the rest of humanity has been thoroughly satisfied the Cruz infidelity story was the work of Marco Rubio's friends, you'll still be in your little padded room straining against the stylish jacket with the sleeves that tie in the back screaming, "Nooo, it was TRUMP. Trump did everythinnngggg, not Rubio", and the nice young men in their white coats willsigh and see if upping your lithium will help.
@ ed
Sweetie, HotAir is as much in the tank for ABD as PJMedia or you. If you're wise, try to find a more objective source for any wishful thinking.
Ed - do you deny that Trump supporters everywhere pushed the story?
You can blame Rubio all day long - Trump's pal ran the story.
Ed - Who actually ran the story? Was it The National Enquirer? - or do you deny that happened as well?
I suppose this didn't happen either.
"This appears to be the first time The National Enquirer has ever endorsed a candidate for president."
lol
As always, April willfully misses the point.
There would be no story if the Rubio crowd didn't push it.
I think the young men in the white coats may turn to Haldol for her.
Rubio is out of the race. Camp Rubio shopped the story weeks ago, with no takers. (if you buy it) This is all Trump and Trump supporter pushed. you still refuse to answer my question:
Did Trump supporters push this story en masse yesterday - or not?
Yes or no will suffice.
No, dear, you don't get it.
This is about revenge, not advancing a candidacy.
And I'll answer your question with one of yours, will you support the nominee?
The ones talking about it were Insta, HotAir, Legal Insurrection, and US News & World Report.
Or have you never heard the old Cuban proverb, revenge is a dish best served cold?
People have lost their fucking minds. Thanks Trump. At least this shit show will go down in history as the most deranged to date. I'm getting my popcorn.
The reason for all of the Mexican farm workers on these huge dairy farms is because the owners don't want to pay a decent wage. Those huge farms have decimated small family dairy farms that once were everywhere in Wisconsin.
ed -
Did Trump supporters push the 'Cruz is having 5 affairs' en masse on Friday - or not?
Yes or no will suffice.
A reality check from you and an answer...would be nice. Still no answer.
No - I won't support Trump at this point.
The preference cascade is a bubble.
Former Pro-Trump Operative Disavows GOP Frontrunner
A former senior aide to a pro-Donald Trump Super PAC disavowed the Republican frontrunner in an exclusive interview on Wednesday, citing what she sees as his rambling, divisive style on the campaign trail.
“I think he has gone too far with the vitriolic statements and lacks substance when it comes to policy,” said Stephanie Cegielski, the former spokeswoman for the pro-Trump Make America Great Again PAC.
Cegielski said she initially saw Trump as a positive political force, but that his statements and policy positions, or lack thereof, convinced her that he is unfit to be commander in chief.
“I am glad he has brought more people to the political process but I question his ability to be the leader of this country,” she said."

"
Make America Great Again PAC launched in June, helmed by Mike Ciletti, a Colorado Republican operative. The group received seed funding from longtime Trump associates and business partners, including $1 million from casino magnate and Trump Hotel Las Vegas investor Phil Ruffin and $100,000 from investor Andy Beal.
The Super PAC also got a $100,000 donation from Seryl Kushner, the wife of real estate investor and Democratic mega-donor Charles Kushner, who was sentenced to two years in prison in 2005 after pleading guilty to 18 federal criminal charges, including charges for illegal campaign contributions.
Then-U.S. Attorney Chris Christie, who has since endorsed Trump’s presidential bid, negotiated Kushner’s plea deal. ..."
oh really?
The actual line of events. Cruz had nothing to do with the photo of Melania, and was classy in his response to it. RTHT, if you dare.
@April: Repeat the mantra to your heart's content, but a Cruz spokeswoman did get on national to "warn" about having Melania as a First Lady. See the link that Haz has posted repeatedly. I missed your response to it.
And Cruz only dismissed the rug photo on Thursday of last week after the votes had been counted.
You are trying to mess with people who have independent means of perceiving reality.
Liz Mair is an idiot. There - happy?
If she acted alone without the consent of Cruz, how is that Cruz's fault? I don't think he can fire her, because she doesn't work for him. She has her own PAC.
Still, no one has answered my question - why did Trump supporters push the NE 'Cruz had 5 affairs story' - hard and in chorus?
and no - I doubt the story is true.
Here's the thing. Cruz pulled the same nonse with Ben Carson leaving the race. He had plausible deniability. He has continuIng problems in this regard. So much so that one of his hatchet men had to resign to take the hit. Cruz is a thoughly dislikable person. There has not be a Senator so universally loathed since Thaddues Stevens. There must be a reason doncha think?
Troop, all SuperPacs are plausible deniability personified. So, your point kinda is? And I blame McCain for that and his fuckwad Wisconsin parasite Feingold. A pair of shriveled balls who thought good intentions would pave the way to their glory. It seems the state of Wisconsin produces some fucking weirdos. Present company excluded except for the red vagina bird.
The point is if you give Cruz a pass for what the PAC did you have to give Trump a pass for what the Enqurier did. The Pac did it to help Cruz get elected. The Enqurier did it to make money.
