Indonesian rock, Dutch East Indies, Dutch Indo, the first of its type to break internationally. Popular in Holland and then Europe and then Australia in the late 50's onward. The last of the brothers passed 2014.

I wanted to show a video that blows my mind but it cannot be displayed here. The Beginning of the End is the video title of the song Funky Nassau with the dancers of Soul Train busting their moves in pairs and they are very entertaining to watch. The fashion is outrageous and the shoes quite incredible. One young woman dancer kicks high as her head toward the camera, had the strap broken on her heavy white clog shoe and it flung, it would kill you. Among them, an older couple dances smoothly, others acrobatically, we see the incipient moves of break dancing and robot moves and all sorts of moves being busted in sequence.

A rollin' rock gathers no moss.
Who knew that Elvis copied his persona, his clothes, and his hair style from an Indonesian rock group? Attention must get paid.......Using a cello never really caught on as an instrument for rock music in the west. If the Rolling Stones want to freshen up their act, they might want to try this. I bet Keith Richards could really own the rockacello.
So, this is how manspreading got started.

Ever notice how Bill Wyman used to hold his bass guitar? Nearly upright...just the guy in the video.
Good one, Lem.
