How dare you,

Journalist, ask an old puffed up ironclad dotard an actual question and challenge her faltering acuity. You just know your place, Young Man, how about that?

Ever since the fateful day of watching the video "Shining Times part 1," a video I like very well and watched several times about Sam Arnold's restaurant in Morrison built as authentic fort and his pride that he expresses in hosting economic Summit of Eight, and how right off the bat at the beginning of the video Sam's comparing the arrival of Clintons as royalty I felt shame about someone I deeply respect feeling so great and accomplished about something so wrong as that. Then Hillary exiting the vehicle waving as British royalty does grates irritatingly and that sealed my lasting disgust. Ever since that day I felt shame.

This is who Democrats will inflict upon us all, Republican or not, because they are Democrat and only because they are Democrat, there is no other reason than that, and that's not a good enough reason.

So I'm inflicting her back upon you.

Without actually bothering with it myself. Truth is, this clip has been presented to me at least a dozen times and I haven't watched one single time. On t.v. and online. Because of Sam Arnold's restaurant. Two seconds in BLAM gone. Over and over and over and that is how much she impresses other people negatively. They're shocked at her inability to behave as authentic human and they are tired of her insulated style and her bulletproof wardrobe.

Save the US and die, Hillary. Dead.
Dead Hillary.

oh what is this? MSNBC doesn't tow the line or 2 seconds?

Note the answers; "Well, you know she must have received bad advise"

oooo the bad advise excuse again.
It's like the media are coordinating her ass-covering.

I watched that video and her "question time" with the press and I see a cornered rat who is on the verge of an emotional breakdown.

Put her in front of Matt Lee (the reporter who is Marie Harf's nemesis at State Department briefings) for 30 minutes and she would end up walking out screaming like a Banshee.

Worst comedian I have ever seen. Her jokes fall flat and she is obviously wound tighter than a top. What, this lady is not a comedian?

I'm Full of Soup said...

Btw, Chip, I know there must be a Nurse Rachet clip [Ellen Burnstyn] out there somewhere that you could expertly juxtapose next to Hillary, our present day Nurse Rachet. Rush is calling Hillary urse Rachet which is a great name for her.

So get to work please- I need a good laugh!

She's so stale. Are there enough stale yentas out there to hand her the presidency? Never underestimate the number of stale yentas. Burning to show those men!!

Can't Hillary just eat her waffle? You guyzz?

She's the same as Obama, just with less sympathy and fanbois.

Chip - I was wrong. It was Louise Fletcher who played Nure Rachet not Ellen Burstyn.

Well, that's not the only reason. ;-) The main reason is that she denies and sucks up to power more effectively than any Republican!

The more ethically and intellectually compromised the Republicans make it clear they want their candidates to be, the more enthusiastic I am about Hillary!

She will humble you. And admit it, that's the only way the majority of you wanted it to be, anyway. Working with or compromising with or learning the perspective of the other side is anathema to most Republicans, who will stop at nothing when it comes to pursuing power for its own sake. And that makes Hillary the only logical choice for the left.

It's almost like you fear her because you know that you make her inevitable.

We tried Obama, and you were ruthlessly nasty and obstructionist to him, even when it was clear that the approach was destructive to the country. So Hillary it is.

chickelit said...

@R&B: I don't think Hillary garners support or respect among Dems for that kind of snark.

Ask yourself whether Bill would have said or done that. Bill remains a popular ex-President. Hillary never wins popularity contests.

Oh, Bullshit. Obama accomplished exactly what he set out to do.

Ritmo wants to shock all us Conservatives by acting as if he doesn't care, just so long as the Lefties have the power.

Technically, he doesn't, although none of the power is his, so that's where he's played for a sucker.

That, of course, would never stop him in any other situation from calling us rasists or homofobes or whatever as if he were truly outraged. But it's nice of him to come out of the closet and let us all know how phony he really is.

No thanks to you.

But hey - I guess for some people partisanship is more important than tripling the Dow, cutting unemployment by half, reducing the rate of the uninsured by 1/3rd, etc., etc., etc. It's good to know what your side's priorities were in that time of crisis.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Hillary is a war hawk.

Yeah, I know. It'll suck. But with a ® we're guaranteed a war no matter what. Plus, she'll probably defer to Bill on that stuff and just bomb aspirin factories instead.

When even Randy Paulie needs to go hawkish then you know there's not even that much wiggle room in the GOP.

Whatever it takes for you to feel better about yourself and your own situation.

That, of course, would never stop him in any other situation from calling us rasists or homofobes or whatever as if he were truly outraged.

Unlike a Republican, I move on and find other outlets once it's clear that there's no end to how outrageous you want to be. As with two-year-olds, after a while one has to just move on and make sure the law is laid down regardless.

But it's nice of him to come out of the closet and let us all know how phony he really is.

ISIS takes a stranglehold there as Libya is essentially in ruins. No one seems to want to litigate that. They talk about Benghazi, they talk about Iraq. Here is a very real thing that actually happened. The woman who is running actually participated in, and as far as I can tell, is not getting litigated anywhere...

To her time with someone else. Pick up the mindblindness translator, read what I said, and stop pretending that there wasn't another person there that she didn't need to be interrupted from attending to.

Bullshit. I'm just sick of Republican hypocrisy and obstinacy. And I now realize that Hillary's the only answer to their malignant attitude. But you might as well no longer be a Republican if you stop ignoring the obvious answers, like that one.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

And the purposeful avoidance of media questions is playing well to whom, exactly? To you?

Ok, I see what you mean as there's another answer here. As far as ignoring the media generally goes, that's another thing you guys envy the hell out of her. With all the hatred the right-wing has for "the media" (whatever that means), I'd think the last thing you'd do would be to skewer her over that. Aren't you guys always the ones complaining about how awful "the media" are, anyway?

Let her ignore them when they're rude, asking stupid questions, being repetitive or pointless. Whatever. Sure, there's a problem in that we've always assumed The Fourth Estate acts as a crucial bridge in a democracy between power and the people's information. But that link's been severed ever since Nixon went to war against the press. It's been hanging on ever since, but brought to a fiery demise in the wake of their inability to keep up in the days of the internet.

Sorry, I didn't realize that was part of the question you were asking earlier.

edutcher said...

Once again, Ritmo has no real answer, he just screams invective (it really bothers him that somebody's around to remind him of how ineffective the Left is anymore; time was the Demos would have found a way to get things moving again - not now).

Or he just babbles.

chickelit said...

Not really. If the Bushes hadn't tried to rehabilitate his image by letting him in on their Haiti relief efforts (which, of course, he criminalized), he'd be viewed how he was in '01 - people were glad to be rid of him.

Remember after 9/11 how he showed up at Ground Zero and went around hugging everybody, trying to feel their pain? Even the media was creeped out by him.

I'm glad that I was at Althouse in the early days when the Ritmo character was sort of interesting, and sometimes even a decent guy to engage with.

In his latter years R&B has become a weak caricature of what he once was. Too bad. The original character had a lot to offer. The current character is just another knee-jerk liberal troll.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

And what do you have to offer, Stab?

I mean, back in the day you were all bratwurst and bikes. But nowadays you come across as just another right-wing, know-nothing droid. Hating anyone who doesn't offer one of those fancy straight-arm salutes to everything you believe.

Let me know if that's not what you want, because obviously you don't read what people who disagree with you actually have to say.

I salute your need for conformity, Sir! The RNC is you and me! Better together!

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

On second thought, I'll also take Stab's 10:35 post as a tacit admission that he doesn't know why he's an RNC conformist, and he doesn't know why I or anyone else should be one, also.

He just knows that's the way we should all be!

Hillary is wrong but what makes her especially evil is if she's effective against Republican politics. Yes, I see where the backlash is coming from! Yesiree!

The problem for the GOP, and America in general, is dullards who choose to be led about by obvious greedy lying racist sexist homophobic (etc) viile hypocrites because it makes them feel like they're winners, too. Probably for the first time ever. That's the bargained for exchange; they get power and riches and you get to feel good about yourself. Charity by proxy and winning by proxy. None of it's real of course, and the entire charade is financed on the backs of the unwilling. But it feeeels good in the moment, and that's all that matters to the Hillary Support Hoes.

Because it sure looks like you're turning your comments into the first digital Rohrschach.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Whatever you say, ed.

Obviously you're exactly the kind of un-introspective retrograde that Haz wants, around here. So keep it up. Speculate endlessly about everyone else. Make up what you want. Don't look inside yourself or tell anyone anything about yourself, at all.

Whatever you do, you're the perfect one. That's right-wing integrity. It's everyone else who's bad. And if you make up enough bad things to accuse them of, maybe someday you'll get something about them right.

Just don't tell anyone what's right and wrong about you.

You're perfect without even trying. Just wish we could all know how.

If we get stuck with another Dem, I hope it's Hillary. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are not just wrong, but, worse yet, absolutely committed and incorruptible in their stupidity. I'm sure the Koch brothers could bribe Hillary into passing the Keystone Pipe Line. I'm sure her rates on many issues are quite reasonable and within the grasp of many middle class Americans.

Yes William, I can see your point about the lesser of evils. What bothers me is the whole lack of opposition to HRC within the DNC. Even Obama had to overcome the Hillary factor. But Hillary? Nada! The party has devolved into pure and unadulterated identity politics. Thus we have Hillary's generic appeal to women and shirtless O'Malley's attempted appeal to...women and gays. Maybe together they are invincible! But which one of those two is going to get the black vote or the hispanic vote without abject pandering? This is why Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio belong in the race (pun intended).

bagoh20 said...

I can't even express adequately how relieved I am that I didn't have to defend Obama all these years. I've watched liberal friends suffer so with that. First blaming Bush, then lying, then denial, then Blaming Bush, then just silence with a newfound disinterest in politics. Some got stuck in the early stages and never moved on. Some are moving on to Hillary.

If she wins, I'll be relived to not have to defend her. That will be no easier, because the stupidity of the decision will be like the Obama one before it - one of shame and embarrassment covered by anger and posing, and I suppose even blaming Bush again.

chickelit said...

Obama won the first time around because there were millions of Althouses eager to assuage their white guilt. But what will do a similar trick for Hillary? Millions of men eager to assuage their "male guilt"?

I'm beginning to suspect that 2016 politics will be "unforeseen event driven" because the personalities are so predictable.

I remain optimistic about Scott Walker, but I attribute that in part to my Wisconsin Republican heritage. I'm not sure how he will play nationally.

bagoh20 said...

Yes, William, It IS better to have a Democrat that is so easily corrupted by money. If they can't be taught, at least they can be bought. And the great thing about a Clinton is that they clearly never have enough money to develop immunity to that.

You ever going to realize that your effete above-it-all attitude as a means of retort aren't really doing anything right? You say stuff as a direct response to fight back against a point so you can win verbally and rhetorically. I'm not saying that you do, but that is what you are trying to accomplish and so what are you winning? You aren't really, as a singular individual, swaying any policy shifts that any leader like Obama has undertaken. So to accuse other individuals of pushing Obama to act the way he has seems utterly preposterous. If you that this is the case, then I'd say that you've been clinging to this delusion for a long time. Frankly, I don't care what you think about who opposes you politically or ideologically because in the end that doesn't matter. What I do think is what I see a presidential candidate who feels and thinks she is entitled to the presidency because of who she is, what she has endured, as a payoff for her 'servitude' not her performances in her various roles and her gender. You an white wash her performances all you want and in the end, it's just noise. Seeing who she is as a person and what she's done as a person in leadership should be the sole indicator of her attributes to the office she wants to hold. She's grifted into every position she's had, including Senator of NY. She took the same attitude in that race that she is taking now in this one. She is Rick Lazio'ing everyone. Whether that bothers you or not I don't care.

It's your support of her that I question, because knowing what you know about her and still want her to become president says a lot about you, as a person and as a citizen. You are not a good person, you may be honest and sincere in what you say, but you are honest and sincere in the context of your support of consistently devious people. You celebrate them, you uphold them, that makes me question you, your integrity, your character, and ultimately who you are as a person. You are not a good person overall and now that I've had the privilege of seeing you operate for as long as you have, what you write, how you say things, how you say them, etc. has led me to this conclusion.
