Wouldn't it be cool if your friends regularly gave you 50 grand just because they know you have bills to pay? You might come to believe there is a career opportunity in friendship. If that sunk in, would you be a really good and reliable friend or a dangerous asshole who needs constant feeding?

Now that it's been spelled out in letters twelve miles high that the MSM is biased, do you think the low information voters will grow skeptical of what they're fed?.......me neither.

Should that be MSM are biased? Not sure.

The median wage in the US per person is $26,695 A YEAR.

It's a big chunk o change Stephanopoulos gave.

If you people don't send me $50,000, the local brewery will have to lay off their workers. Then, do you know what will happen?

THEIR CHILDREN WILL STARVE TO DEATH, THAT'S WHAT!

It's no different that Steph's concerns about AIDS and the trees thing.

Have you heard "It was an Honest Mistake" by The Bravery?

It's one of some six songs I practiced in ASL a couple weeks ago until nailed and then having nailed interest in them passed (too slow and repeaty.) It would be perfect for beginners and it IS a really cool song so I'm a bit surprised to see it's not interpreted. They all have ads attached. The AOL session is interesting.

I see a photo of Stephanopolis in all these tweets this morning and I think, despite your awesome name so fun to say and spell and despite his charming smile and as Ace will say, his ass like a young Kiefer Sullivan, all I manage to see is a proper thid mong with a penis growing out one ear and breasts out the other with kidneys for earrings and testicles for eyeballs and small intestines piling out his nostrils going to large intestines into his mouth with fallopian tubes tying his hair into pigtails with dangling ovaries his irregular uncertain heartbeat palpitating little farts out his ass with each beat. Yes, Stephanopolis, come moderate conservative debates, you and network are so eminently suitable for it.

Stephenopolis: I care so deeply about global AIDS and deforestation that I felt the best and most efficient way to get $5,000 to these very important causes is to run $50,000 through the Clinton Foundation. Get off my back h8rz.

Honestly, it's the fact that he's *donating* to the foundation rather than drawing money from the piggy-bank that surprises me. He's a Clinton vassal, no, a footman in their virtual front hall.

The interesting information isn't that he has his tongue halfway up the Clintons' collective colon, it's that he's paying for the privilege. Apparently everybody kicks up to the boss.

Like I said, until you stop using ALEC and letting Cock Industries write all your legislation for you, no one cares. Except for Republicans. But no one else.

You guys are like the anti-moderates. Not a clue what gets beyond your party base to an actual "majority" position. None at all. No idea of the difference between partisanship and statesmanship. It's pathetic.

This is less of a deal than the fact that Republicans serve on committees that subpoena as witnesses the biggest contributors to their campaigns. A total joke that given shit like that, you'd think anyone would care. They don't.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Wouldn't it be cool if your friends regularly gave you 50 grand just because they know you have bills to pay?

Oh. You mean bills as in CAMPAIGN FINANCE BILLS? That's only like every Republican ever.

Or legislative bills? Yes, Republicans get campaigns financed in exchange for letting their creditors write those bills, also.

Yawn. The phony outrage, does it ever end? Well, I guess not when you're a Republican, running out of clever ways to fuck over the voting public and venting outrage at your opponents for lacking the decency of forgoing election campaigns. For having the gall to run for the public offices that Republicans are too lazy to do anything with other than to rent out to their lobbyist buddies.

The credibility you guys have on these things is negative one-hundred thousand percent. No one is listening. But it's hilarious to see how hysterically you'll whip yourself into enough of an anti-Clinton stupor as to believe that they actually will.

The soundtrack in your minds is the last one heard by Tony Soprano. Enjoy it!

Environmental and safety record[edit]
Bloomberg reports that from 1999 to 2003, Koch Industries was assessed "more than $400 million in fines, penalties and judgments."[44] Daniel Indiviglio, in a reaction piece appearing in The Atlantic argues that the Bloomberg article is biased and misleading, asserting that the Bloomberg team "only found eight instances of alleged misconduct by a giant multinational over the span of 63 years".[45]

In 2000, for its 300 reported oil spills which had taken place across six states, Koch paid the largest civil fine ever imposed on a company under any federal environmental law for the illegal discharge of crude oil and petroleum products. In a settlement with the U.S. Justice Department and the state of Texas, the company agreed to pay a "$30 million civil penalty, improve its leak-prevention programs and spend $5 million on environmental projects."[46][47][48][49][50][51]

In 1996, an 8-inch-diameter steel LPG pipeline operated by Koch Pipeline Company ruptured near Lively, Texas and began leaking butane gas. The vapor cloud ignited when two residents drove their pickup truck through the flammable vapors to get to a neighbor's house to call 9-1-1 to report the leak. The two were killed in the explosion, and approximately 25 families were later evacuated from the neighborhood without injury. An investigation conducted by the NTSB found that the pipe section which failed had not been shown to have excessive corrosion in a 1995 inspection. Regulations at the time did not provide criteria for "adequate cathodic protection."[52] Koch also stated that the bacteria-induced corrosion acted quicker than had ever previously been recorded in the industry. The explosion was the only event of its kind in the company’s history. In 1999, a Texas jury found that negligence had led to the rupture of the Koch pipeline and awarded the victims' families $296 million - "the largest compensatory damages judgment in a wrongful death case against a corporation in U.S. history".[44][53]

In 2000, a federal grand jury returned a 97-count indictment against Koch Industries and its individual employees for environmental crimes relating to excess emissions of 85 metric tons of benzene, a known carcinogen.[54][55] In 2001, Koch Industries was fined $20 million, of which $10 million was a criminal fine and $10 million to clean up the environment.[56]

Instead, they have ALEC, and make no secret of the agenda they're selling you out to: Their own. But they do make the facts of what their agenda is all about secret.

The Clintons never tried to forcibly segregate my schools, poison the air I breathe or water I drink, lower my wage, or intimidate the public resource available to me as a citizen into not hearing my voice. I think that, in a contest between them and the Kochs, I'll take the Clintons.

7. Amateur obstetricians and gynecology professors.

Go take your purity and your vulgarity for everyone not interested in those seven Republican commandments and fuck yourself with them. Shove them up your own ass.

As for April, "broken" government is the way Republicans want it to be. They use every chance they get to fulfill that self-fulfilling prophecy by finding ways to make the government become incompetent. By refusing to demand results. By telling the voter that they should get elected for doing less.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. People hate government shouldn't be running it. They always do and only will make it worse.

Only someone obsessed with their own purity can't understand that.

And now they squabble about "90 million unemployed". Well, that's what happens when you count teenagers, children, the retired, and voluntary stay-at-home parents. I thought Repubs thought that last group were a good thing.

Republicans hate facts.

I'd say they own a good chunk of at least 60% of the positions pushed and peddled by Republicans. With them and their allies at ALEC, that's most of Republicanism's string pullers.

Prison reform happens to be one area where they're agitating for the right thing. Sure, even a broken clock's right twice a day, but credit where credit's due.

Republican egos can't take anything less than an acknowledgment of the one thing their masters happen to have gotten right. Well, then there you go. They're right on that one.

So is the country's population, you nimrod.

Oh right. Population growth involves something known as "change" and "change" is not something that RWAs understand.

It was wrong for the country's population to grow significantly in 6 years. It confuses the purity of the right-wing talking point that April's owners must put together to further her party's economic rhetoric.

Maybe next time the country's population could shrink, and then the talking point would actually make sense.

Then again, maybe they are all fine upstanding citizens, and foreigners just trying to save mankind from wingnuts who love a dirty earth and poverty, and who probably drink heavy crude with their coffee.

Yes, you should give credit where due. Your string of assertions on this thread is embarrassing. Really, there are some of us who like you when your expressed thoughts are cogent and not totally politically locked down.

It isn't like there are no wealthy [more money than Gawd] "doners" who sponsor, influence, and essentially direct the Democratic party. Why do you continue to ignore this simple fact? Money as corruption in government and politics is not a uni-lateral matter...so we can either find ways to direct it positively, or just sit back and be benign. My time working in DOD government tells me that we can fix if, but only if, we will fix it. It will be very hard.

Open eyes will reveal this this anyone...to the simple fact the "color" of influence is DC is "green" and it is bi-partisan, v-e-r-y bipartisan. How else will Ms Clinton amass a $1 Billion + war chest for her campaign of office entitlement?

I'd cite the SIEU, among the most creative of latter day unions, as equally complicite in funding, and I say that as former AFL-CIO skiled tradesman....who has no use for the non-productive unions such as the SIEU. What do they actually build or contribute? Other than rehtoric?

The SIEU is an emarassment to any of us from a skilled tades background....you know where a long apprenticeship is endured (includng STEM education in at least community college) and a certifiction of competetemce is acquired...e.g., "journeyman" at least. The SIEU beclowns the union movement. It confounds the public when they finaly discover that public servants (civil services aka federal civil servants) must volunteer for union membership, as FDR stipulated...it is NOT mandatory) rather than to be arbitrarily to be organized involuntarily, like home care providers or child care providers...whom make less than you'd expect, since their companies charge roughly $20 per hour for that service, e.g, a much lessor share to the worker, who are considered "contractors," thus avoiding more ordinary expenses for a "business" ... but to you those "visiting angels" will cost you $160 pe day for caring for an elderly parent...and in the final stages they usually require 18 hour coverage, or $360 / day...at least half of which goes to the firm, and more to the union, not the provider him or herself. Talk about taking advantage of the working person...most of whom can barely handle the "self-employed" aspects of tax laws. In short, care for the inform or disabled is not the highest totem on their pole. But it should be.

I am familiar because my brother and I had to administer such a program for our mother who'd long ago had gone "round the bend." We loved her none the less and it was her money (thankfully and due to the court's ruling) that provided the support, under intense government scrutiny. None of it was via entitlement government program. Mom needed help and Jerry provided the best he could all told....with nary a single thought of diminished inheritance. Not tone.

I regret to say that Jerry subsequently died, more or less alone, in a nursing facility when his mind also went around the bend. There was just nothing further any of us could do. He died quietly, of diabetes type 1, kidney failure ( a transplant from 20 years earlier), liver failure, and congestive heart disease. The mind was already gone. Let's be honest...how often can you engage someone whose thought processes have deteriorated to the position of knee jerk hostility?

I give his wife great credit for sticking with him to the end...I'd misjudged her thinking that she'd bail...but she did not. In short, she was tougher than me.

"Paint your wagon" brings back memories of the time my parents took my brother and me to the Big Sky Drive In outside of Madison to see that movie. Next, although I've heard many times others find it odd that I am a musical theater fan, it just is...and "Paint Your Wagon" is among my favorites. The Lyrics define my life so far:

Where am I goin'?
I don't know
Where am I headin'?
I ain't certain
All I know
Is I am on my way

When will I be there?
I don't know
When will I get there?
I ain't certain
All that I know
Is I am on my way

Gotta dream boy
Gotta song
Paint your wagon
And come along

If you have a dream, by all means, paint your wagon and come along. Besides where else you gonna hear Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood sing a song?
