It takes an act of Congress...

To stop federal employees from watching porn on taxpayer's dime.
The Eliminating Pornography from Agencies Act aptly shares its initials with the government agency that drew attention to the problem of staff watching pornographic videos at work, the Environmental Protection Agency.

“It’s appalling that it requires an act of Congress to ensure that federal agencies block access to these sites,” Meadows said. He is chairman of the operations subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

I'm conflicted.

Does a federal employee hurt taxpayers more when he wastes their time watching porn, or when he is assiduously dedicated to his work?

At least said worker has relieved himself momentarily from a lot of stress. Maybe it's like a cigarette break. Get's one re-focused.

There are already rules against it and there was one problem employee, according to the article.

Meadows sounds like a grandstanding gas bag who wants to create extra layers of regulation to make a name for himself.

It'll take more than an act of Congress to get rid of that particular type of problem government employee.

@Eric.

I never thought you'd be the sort of prude who wants to stop our civil servants from masturbating on the job.

What's wrong with you?

Rather than eliminate superfluous government employees who watch porn at work, Your GOP is focused like a laser on eliminating just the porn. Because when something* doesn't work and never will, double down on that.

* Government employees, political grandstanding tactics, WHATEEVER.

It should be called the Eliminating Natural Urges From Agencies Act.

Imagine watching porn at work in your private sector job and keeping your job.

Also, why not name it the: Even though Bill Clinton needs a good cleaning out, you don't- act.

I think in leftwing la la land, we should make things as absurd as possible.

For the common good.

It helps, sometimes, to bear in mind that some people think it's funny to whack off in public and shoot their load against the wall to see if it sticks.

Tenure will do that to some people.
