"Almost Half Of Democrats Support President Ignoring Court Rulings If It’s ‘Important’"

Rasmussen finds:
But perhaps more unsettling to supporters of constitutional checks and balances is the finding that 43% of Democrats believe the president should have the right to ignore the courts. Only 35% of voters in President Obama’s party disagree, compared to 81% of Republicans and 67% of voters not affiliated with either major party.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of all voters believe, generally speaking, that court challenges of actions approved by the president and Congress help protect the rights of U.S. citizens. Thirty percent (30%), however, consider such challenges mostly nuisances that stand in the way of good policy. Eighteen percent (18%) are not sure.

If the facts are correct, then Dhems really do pine for fascism -- for one party rule.

This survey, in my humble opinion, should have ZERO respondents supporting a president ignoring the courts.

If the oath that they took, to defend and protect the Constitution, means anything.

oh wait. I thought this was a survey of legislators.

Still, the numbers supporting the subversion of the constitution should not be that high.

Totally unsurprising, and we all know it. The danger of the left is screaming like a death metal vocalist, and people call it music.

Of course, if an R said, "Mr Roberts has made his decision, now let him enforce it", (particularly in regard to, say, abortion or same sex marriage), the Demos would scream for his impeachment.

PS Lem, the object of the exercise for the Left is nothing but the acquisition and wielding of power.

“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

Liberal Fascists.

"The government says these are extremists who believe that they can ignore laws and that their individual rights are under attack in routine daily instances such as a traffic stop or being required to obey a court order.

So lets label them "right wing". even though this type of behavior is sociopath in nature and the sort of thing a person like Ward Churchill would approve. Ward Churchill advocated for this type of civic disobedience all the time and he was a LEFT-WING extremist.

Oh, that's rich coming from this government.

Anti-government types can be both far right and far left. The media, on behalf of the current government it serves, want us all to know that people who defy traffic laws are right-wing, and only right-wing and very scary... (worse than ISIS)

It's as if the media are attempting to change the subject. Head chopping and burning humans alive in cages is a distraction from the real killers.

I'm driving down the road yesterday, minding my own business, listening to AM radio for updates on the weather and toggling between Mike Rosen on KOA & KHOW... when I hear the "news" people say "The government has just issued a terror threat and warning for right wing extremists."

Seriously. This is the state of our news media.

Perhaps our government overlords can have us all arrested?

I think I might be a terrorist. I have impure thoughts and I don't worship the democrat party like I should.

Lefties have their panties in a knot because Rudy thinks Obama doesn't love America but they cheered when Obama said Bush was unpatriotic FOR RUNNING UP DEBT. Yes, it's true, lefties: You are gullible emotional fuckwits who need your "thought leaders" and "intellectuals" to tell you what and how and when to think.

Almost 1/2 of those democrats are idiots.

I am totally bi....partisan and would expect the same from republican voters.

Do any of you have any bi-political tendencies or is everything full on wingnut in your life?

tits.

@Titus:

Welp, I've voted for more D's than R's for president across my whole voting life so there's that.

I can't think of a single currently serving Democrat that I would not like to replace with someone else. Not necessarily a Republican, but definitely not another Democrat. The party has a monolithic, emotion driven, style obsessed, and dumb set of defining principles which include having no core principles beyond winning.

Most Republicans are as bad or nearly so, despite their rhetoric, but we are talking about Dems, who are all worse. That's coming from a lifelong registered Democrat, but one with an actual open mind.

I don't recycle evah. But I rationalize not recycling because losers pick out all the glass/plastic etc. from my garbage.

I ask for plastic bags at Whole Foods because I use them for clumber dumpers.

I voted for our republican governor who would be considered a democrat in any other state-kind of like Mitt.

Good ol Andrew Jackson. A lot of people forget that Lincoln told Taney/TacoSupremes to pound sand regarding habeas corpus in the civil war. Rumor was Lincoln was close to putting out an arrest warrant on Chief Justice Taney.
