From the headline: What's a "Beep"? Is it pronounced bee-pee?
A Beep is a Borough President. Pronounced beep. The Beep pictured is the Borough president of Brooklyn, who's encouraging us all to go out and get ebola since it was in Williamsburg (a hipster neighborhood in Brooklyn) that the ebola doc went bowling.
This is Borough President Eric Adams who first rose to prominence as a police officer who always attacked the police. He founded the Guardians which is the black police officer organization that spends it's time undermining law enforcement from within. Long an outsider in the political life of NYC he was a State Senator in a typically gerrymanded district. However New York City has reached a tipping point and previoiusly unelectable radicals like Adams and De Blasio can now win borough wide and City wide office.
He most likely will be the next mayor.

Why is the White House wasting an opportunity to do things they would not otherwise be able to do?
Something else is at play forcing, dictating the policy of continuing Ebola Air flights as if nothing was happening.
