"
Tonight, in Washington, should have been a night of unity as we came together for the inaugural event for a group that calls itself 'In Defense of Christians.' Instead, it unfortunately deteriorated into a shameful display of bigotry and hatred," Cruz said in a statement provided to Breitbart News. "When I spoke in strong support of Israel and the Jewish people, who are being persecuted and murdered by the same vicious terrorists who are also slaughtering Christians, many Christians in the audience applauded. But, sadly, a vocal and angry minority of attendees at the conference tried to shout down my expression of solidarity with Israel." (

Question: who's wiping out Christian communities in the Middle East, Muslims or Jews? That's right, if you answered Muslims you got it in one. But...there's always a but, Christian Palestinians KNOW that the JOOS are behind the killing of Christians by Muslims. How do the JOOS work their evil magic? They just do. How do the Palestinian Christians know the JOOS are behind every evil? They just do.
Booing Ted Cruz is the same thing as hatred, bigotry and opposition to Israel.
Good to know.
Booing Israel is the same thing as being a human turd.
Were they booing Ted Cruz? They weren't booing him at all, they were really happy with him until he said Israel was our greatest ally, and said that the same religious bigotry was behind the persecution of both Jews and Christians. Then they booed and shouted.
No... booing the expression of support for Israel and booing the idea that Jews are allies and booing the idea that persecution of Jews and Christians is the same persecution... no, that is NOT the same thing as booing Ted Cruz.
Somewhat odd to talk about Israel in a "Defense of Christianity" meeting.
But that aside, Cruz must love this, Jews care deeply about Israel, while most Americans don't give a rats ass about their fellow Christians.
Probably picked up some votes.
So - these booers, are they infiltrating leftwingers? That's my bet.
Leftists like to spy on the "right". It's hilarious because we don't have anything to hide. The progs, on the other hand, cannot help letting their ass-hole-y-ness come out.
It should also be understood that not all Christians are on the right. In my town, where we have an indisputable 30%/70% GOP to Democrat ratio - all the Christians in this town go to the same leftwinger Episcopal church (and a few other Churches that also lean left) So this idea that only rightwingers go to church/are Christian is a lie pushed by hollywood.
I agree, Synova. They were not booing Cruz out-right, they were booing his stated support of Israel. My guess is they probably wanted to boo Cruz anyway.
Jesus was a Jew, so there is that.
Wait, maybe something else was going on, like major douchebaggery or something.
The old canard about how Christians only stick up for Israel as a part of their evil scheme to take over the Holy Land was rolled out today in response to this story. Has anyone noticed that said Holy Land is actually being relentlessly bombed by hateful Muslims who are actually intent on taking it over?
(Warning: Lefty Views Suck IQ points right out of your brain like a vaccum.)
The Jews are a safe haven for hate.
Israel is a tiny country, 8.2 million people; just over 6 million are Jews.
It would be the 13th most populous state.
If you're counting only the jews, it's barely bigger than Missouri (#18 in size).
1/15th the size of Japan, 1/8th the size of France and the UK, 1/4th the size of Canada, and 1/3rd the size of Australia.
The hatred it garners is entirely disproportionate.
Yet the map of the distorted view of the world in the UK's Guardian newspaper can be seen here.
In that map, Israel is bigger than Australia and Japan.
Hell, it's bigger than India and all of South America.
That's why the Arabs invented Islam, to become the Chosen.
Esau has always hated Jacob.
Middle East Christians are an interesting bunch. Basically, they walk the line between appeasing the Muslim overlords and searching their superior moral philosophy to sometimes identify with oppressed, morally interested minorities fighting to win and keep their freedom (Israel) and sometimes identify with the communist struggle of a more miserable national "liberation" (Palestinians).
The funny thing is when this spills over into Western Christian leadership. For the most part, my understanding is that the Evangelicals who eschew political leadership for personal salvation identify with Israel, whereas corrupt leaders, esp. of certain Protestant persuasions, go full-out communist and sympathize 100% with the shitty Arabian-Islamic nationalism that keeps Palestinians in their miserable state. Because, you know, whatever it takes to confront and kill more Jews.
The latest example of how far the latter has shown itself willing to go was Yale's Episcopalian Chaplain blaming Jews for anti-Semitism. Which was interesting, seeing how illustrious a history people in his position have had of blaming Jews for all sorts of things - including, at one time, even deicide and the plague.
I even heard that some of the worst anti-Semitism now seen in the Middle East resulted from the efforts of Western missionaries. Perhaps the common accusation of "prophet killers" you hear on chat boards by guys with names like "Abdullah" and "Muhammad" are the fruits of those efforts.
For every one of those booing Cruz you could probably hope that there's a Brigitte Gabriel, a Mosab Hassan Youssef, or a Western freedom-loving Christian to counter. But you never know.
Question: who's wiping out Christian communities in the Middle East, Muslims or Jews? That's right, if you answered Muslims you got it in one.
They love their enemies a little too much.
It's fine to love one's enemies. Identifying with the enemy's political ambitions however is something altogether different.
I've updated the post.
No... booing the expression of support for Israel and booing the idea that Jews are allies and booing the idea that persecution of Jews and Christians is the same persecution... no, that is NOT the same thing as booing Ted Cruz.
The problem is that if they're Mid-East Christians (as the article says), then they're basically brainwashed also, just like the Islamoids. They've been told that Israel "destabilizes" the Middle East, and in particular their own status. Which is bullshit if you're a Palestinian Christian. Their numbers have reversed under "native" Palestinian autonomy from over 90% in some cases (Bethlehem) to less than 15%. Israel's presence kept them safe, and her withdrawal exposed them to threat from the wild culture of the Islamoids. This woman's brave and contrary testimony explains it.
You have to remember that for the Islamoids, threatening to kill/assassinate for going against the most picayune element of their agenda and propaganda is par for the course. And the Christians have internalized this very well. It doesn't do them any good, but I guess that's how they see their prerogative.
The good news: Inside Israel this sort of shit is becoming less the norm. Christians (and even sometimes Muslims) are becoming increasingly emboldened to stand up for and with civilization and to unleash the shackles of excessively tribal political concerns.
Ted Cruz is wily and clever. Whether he planned to be this provocative (not in his initial statements but his extenuation of them) or not, he's trying to tie together the struggle of Middle Eastern minorities in a pro-freedom agenda that's a natural barrier to the Islamo-Communist terrorist onslaught. Another interesting place where you see this is among the Kurds, some of whom have become very vocally pro-Israel when it comes to expressing their own sentiments for independence and opposition to Islamoid aggression.
Freedom-lovers in the Middle East know who their ally is.
Whether you think that this 'rally' was infiltrated by Hamas/Hezbollah apparatchiks to agitate Ted Cruz at this ME Christian get-together is is irrelevant, because Cruz more or less laid down the principals by which he was at this event and he stated clearly and concisely those that are opposing his message are in fact, regardless of their affiliation anti-Israeli if not anti-Semitic, which in nearly the entire ME, whether they be Arab Muslims or Arab Christians, are anti-Israeli.
And the fact that Cruz told it like it is and left is a win for Cruz and lose for those that thought they could squelch his message. They just gave Cruz the cache he needed and the visibility of the event that highlights the utter vehement irrational hatred Arab muslim/christians have for the Jews.
In any case, it worked out well for Cruz. Maybe, he knew the crowd was full of anti-Israel leftists and tried to smoke them out.
Apparently rc's one of those self-hating types who prefers the real persecution of death threats, assassinations and religious violence to the horrible imagined persecution of not being able to proselytize as freely. And rabbis in the parliament! Oh the horror! Much like the British House of Lords, that dysfunctional bastion of theocratic tyranny with its rabbis, archbishops and imams. Oh, what a threat to the freedom of the people and their religious sentiments!
Get a grip, dude. You sound hysterical.
I agree with what Methadras said at 8:04.
Hey we haven't heard from Deborah or Garage Mahal for a while. Just sayn'
I really hope neither of them were recruited as concubines for ISIS.
No need to recruit them, they volunteered.
