Top notch work, CL, top notch!

OT - I am watching Patton and it occurred to me that you don't need subtitles when the krauts are spieling. But of course that kind of linguistic skill probably ruins all the Downfall videos, eh?

Tonight I'm pouring a fake scotch on the rocks, a spilled wine, a melting ice cube, and tiny tipped over ice bucket I'm calling the "ice bucket challenge."

Oh and also a champagne. Champagne will be tough to get the color just right.

I'm using three different kinds of plastic resins under different conditions. It turns out there's a bit of science to this art.

They found a trunk containing a treasure trove of WWII Nuremberg trials transcripts.

You know what would be cool? If they scan them to the internet and somebody like Chip makes it a hobby to read something not so clear to the naked eye. Something just beyond the limited perception of mere mortals ;)

989Chick, I work with wood, and I frequently encounter defects that need to be dealt with. I read about a guy in England who mixed clear resins from Pebeo with phosphorescent material to make patches in wood that glow in the dark.

Not sure I want to try that, just yet, but I did learn that Pebeo Gedeo is available in a wide variety of colors, most of which I can't see.

Science! Ain't it glorious.

Amazing, chick, true artistry. Imagine a party where you offered them on a tray. They could be taken home as party favors.

Amazing stuff, Chickie. I love the stuff people do here for fun and personal expression. This is what bugs me about mortality. Every year I discover new things I'd love to try, to bury myself in for a while, to maybe even get good at and create things. There is never enough time. I don't remember ever being bored in my life. How could you be? There is so much to learn, to try, to explore, and so little time. Congratulations Chickie on trying something and getting really good at it.

BTW, one of my greatest inventions is here again:

IT'S FRIDAY!!!
