My wife always wanted to give her daughter the middle name rose.
Though both familiar with this song, it wasn't until a friend asked if this is where we got the name from that we realized it sure sounded a lot like the name of the song.
Speaking of children, we had another one born yesterday afternoon. A boy named Oliver. All are well, but a fair bit exhausted.
They say that when you blind and cage a nightingale, their tunes become more expressive and beautiful. Something like that seems to go on with the great female singers. They all had such wretched lives. Their relationships with men mirror those of prostitutes with their pimps. Even sunny singers like Doris Day and Debbie Reynolds got taken to the cleaners by the men in their lives. Comedians don't have happy childhoods and singers don't have happy marriages......I'm waiting for the tell all book about Edie Gorme.
