Move over Hillary Clinton

They cheated American families, crashed the economy, got bailed out, and now the biggest banks are even bigger than they were when they got too big to fail in 2008!” [Elizabeth] Warren exclaimed, according to the Times. “A kid gets caught with a few ounces of pot and goes to jail, but a big bank launders drug money and no one gets arrested,” said Warren. “The game is rigged!”

I watched the brief video here and was not impressed. Just another shill. And if I have to listen to that voice and faux populism for the next two years, just shoot me.

Things will not change one jot if she gets in, and we'll be stuck with amateur hour in the foreign policy realm.

If Hillary is not running it's not out of fear of Warren.

She will beget a right-wing reaction. Hello hyper polarity.

Warren message about the banks has to be particularly worrisome to the Hillary camp; fresh off Hillary's "being broke" gaff.

No Feathers was caught supporting big money the other day:

"Warren's support for Ex-Im was revealed Friday after the Heritage Foundation reached out to her regarding a possible partnership on the issue. Libertarians and Tea Party conservatives are noted opponents of the subsidy, which they see as crony capitalism that helps politically-connected businesses cheat the free market. Liberty-inclined Republicans are working with the left on a host of issues, including NSA spying and marijuana legalization—why not make common cause with Warren on corporatism as well?

Looks like the joke is on Heritage. From Bloomberg:

“Senator Warren believes that the Export-Import Bank helps create American jobs and spur economic growth, but recognizes that there is room for improvement in the bank’s operations,” Warren spokesman Lacey Rose tells us in an e-mail. “She looks forward to reviewing re-authorization legislation if and when it is introduced.”"

What happened to representational government? By the people/of the people ... and all that. I support a doggie poop scooper over Hillary.

The Clinton machine is not a representation of "we the people". I cannot stand the faux Warren, but if she gives Hillary a push to the left, or even over a cliff - fine by me.

Good catch with the Reason article.
I wish more news stands would carry Reason.

That was one of Tim Geithner's observations in his apologia, "Stress Test". He doesn't apologize for it.

And yes, I did read it all the way through. It's a decent read, in a teeth grinding sort of way.

She's right that the system is rigged. But the idea that some mainline Dem or Rep is going to change anything is laughable.

Fauxcahontas is Teddy Kennedy in drag.

And the CFPB, her contribution to Hopenchange, has already been cited for irregularities

When I read this kind of posturing, it only convinces me that Warren is a tool of the banks.

She's an Elmer Gantry. In substance, the opposite of what she preaches.

I'm not going to take the time to look it up, but my recollection of Warren was that she was employed defending big business against the average citizen's lawsuit.

She sounds like the sort of candidate Obama voters could enthusiastically deceive themselves on again.

Warren appeals to the very far left - those who are disappointed that Obama is, by their standards, a moderate. She appeals to those who want full Socialism, including government seizure of banks and businesses (and redistributing earned wealth to others).

She also appeals to those who hate Israel and Jews. Just substitute the word "Jews" for the word "bankers", as is being done now in Europe.

What is baffling is why so many very wealthy Democrats would support her in her effort to impoverish them. Maybe they see the opportunity for more of the crony Socialism begun under Obama.

Warren is in her mid-60's and is being promoted as a "youthful alternative" to Hillary. True, she DOES look younger (ain't Photoshop wonderful?).

The Dem bench is still full of Vietnam era libs, but claims to be the "youth party". What a joke.
