Nope. Didn't do it for me. I had to dial up the Mamas and the Papas to get my groove back. All it took were the white boots, the awkwardness and the interlude (starting at 1:18) to move my clock back forty nine years.
Vignette: The year is Dec 1966 and I'm in USAF plt tng at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, TX on Mexican border. I'm driving on Christmas leave to San Diego w. a classmate from S.D to catch a flight on old Pacific Southwest up to Oakland to be met by my fiancee whose Father, a Lt Col in the USAF is stationed at Sacramento where we are to spend the vacation together. It is a looong drive from Del Rio, thru El Paso and into San Diego. Listened to "California Dreamin'" over and over. COULDN'T have been more appropriate. Memories..
