If Boeing is saying that, why are we hearing about it from a guy who doesn't work for Boeing?
My theory is as plausible as any, at this point. Maybe more credible than some.
Boeing no doubt told the US military that it believes the plane is in Pakistan. Like all retired Generals, McInerney receives briefings on military and security matters.

I think I'll not believe Boeing's denial for a while. They might be walking something back.
There's a variant of Occam's Razor which holds that the most sensational explanation is the one most likely to be televised......I would like more discussions of alien interlopers before debating the Pakistan option....This has got to be an exquisite form of torture for those who had loved ones on board that plane.
