Too cool, very clever :)

Would it be cheating to equip each band member with a GPS?

That's my kind of half time entertainment. Very good.

I watched 22 marching bands yesterday.

All in one place?

Thankfully, none refused to yield. Just imagine the mess.

One of the video comments said they learn that routine in a week. Amazing. Does anyone know exactly how that is done with like 250 marchers?

I like these guys better than Lou Reed.

Eat your heart out Kim Jung Il. Only the people in the cheap seats can fully appreciate how Ohio has mastered the art of the marching band. Those with the expensive fifty yard line seats only saw a lot of tubas passing by. I wonder if marching band enthusiasts purposely seek out the nosebleed seats. Maybe Ohio can start charging premium prices for such seats.

Seriously... my vote is for personal GPS's.

Clip the little buggers to the little music clip thingie...

Think how you'd do it in Photoshop using layers.

Start with an array of dots managed in groups. (each group can be its own layer, each dot can be its own layer)

End with an array of dots with the same groups that form a picture. That is the middle.

Draw the dots in their final array.

The song determines how many layers between beginning array, middle array and ending array.

Move the dots within each frame to produce the movement when run in sequence.

Include free elements. Flags, flying bird-men, loose figures performing extra marching band duties.

o.t. I'm having an online argument with an Amazon vendor. We're calling each other unserious. I called her a flake. And I'm suggesting she's a crook. She's probably not a crook and this is highly offensive to suggest. She was just unprepared to process credit card and required wire transfer, that's all. But I did not trust that. Or her. Because it's a lot. Wait. She just wrote back.

Meh, we did that stuff in HS. Try this at 104 bpm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiF1Yad-ZaQ

The music clip thingy is called a lyre, because of its shape.

Hey, Chip, wire transfer can cost you up to $15 to send or receive, up to your bank.

That's awesome. I'd like to see USC, or UCLA do that but make a surfer riding a wave across the field... then have him eaten by a shark.
