They opened that tour with that song and staged it like the video -- darkened stage with just spotlights up until the Mike Myers head boppin' part which exploded with strobe lights and smoke machines.
Best concert you ever went to? Back in the days when ticket prices were reasonable and the entertainment was not? I spent my teen years in a corner of the U.S. that was not much visited by primo groups so we relied on "summer jam" concerts which were super cheap and featured acts that were past their prime, sometimes well past their prime, and very new weirdo acts (early to punk rock but late to new age). My one really big concert experience was going to see the Stones at the King Dome in Seattle in 1981 but not much trickled down to the east podunk Portland metropolitan area other than BTO and REO.

$6.00. what?
I grant you 2 additional cool points.

I believe they jacked the price up to $6.50 day-of-show. Of course I always bought ahead to save $$. I was getting by on paperboy wages.
I don't recall that show selling out either.

You were awfully young to go to such a show. At 16 I saw such acts as Lovin' Spoonful and Young Rascals. You know, clean, all-American.
And for 6 dollars a day I got tickets to Woodstock. Yep, 18 bucks for 3 days of, well, who knows - I left after 2.
A woman at work bought tickets for July Church. I meant to say tickets for Julio Iglesias at Red Rocks.
Then she missed the concert.
She even checked her tickets several times to make sure. The date was right there on the edge: JUL10
Except that wasn't the date. That was his name. The real date was JUL 9.
And she's a very smart woman too. Things happen innnit.
My ex- was convinced that my zip code, which was 27713, was actually my apartment number, 277 B. Close.
When it comes to singers I prefer Placid Sunday to Lunes Tormentoso.
Circa now - Concerts are like skiing. Way too expensive, and mostly not worth it.

The cost of skiing is crazy.
