I sincerely apologize for not making this topic about space genius Matt Taylor's shirt.
I realize that all the important blogs are trashing Taylor for wearing a cool shirt covered with those stylized WW2 pinup girls. Never mind that the shirt was made by a female friend of Taylor's who likewise thought the pinups and shirt were pretty neat.
Feminists, though, thought otherwise, and who are we to marvel at such a remarkable space science achievement while some wimmins are dyspeptic?
Here's my take on Matt Taylor: He is and incredible genius who managed to land a device the size of a dishwasher on a rapidly moving comet some three hundred million miles from earth. Nailed it on the first attempt. And not only that, he wore a magical shirt that sent feminists into orbit.
"Gloria" is the only Morrison song I don't like. I just can't stand songs that spell. "Use your words."
Of course I'm not a homophobe, so "Y.M.C.A." is just an awesome bit of writing that lifts us up on a magic carpet of understanding and carries us above the dreary life of our heteronormitave world.
I'm not normally in favor of people overplaying their individuality, but that's mostly because they usually aren't really bringing it. I absolutely love this particular twofer, because he brought it big time. A genuine non-poseur.
Hey, that's the best rendition of "Gloria" I've heard in a while. The Doors version, on the posthumous album "Alive She Cried" had an outtake of Gloria that I think is the best ever.
I suspect you have to be from my generation living in my time to really like The Doors. Only group that was better was CCR. It's all about those times.
Given there has just been another beheading of an American by ISIS...those violent feelings are returning in my head...and I do not like it. Make a map of ISIS held territory, where the locals seem to support them or at least not rise against them, and run Ark Light BUFF strikes non-stop until nothing is left but rubble and sand. Nothing at all, not even a worm. I am beginning to lose my ideals again, where "wrong" isn't a concept anymore.
I'm looking at a -20 wind chill in mid November. That song was just the medicine I need to get outside and find out if I can still operate a snow shovel this year.

So it's a stand-up-and-cheer twofer.

I have a good friend that only owns and wears Hawaiian shirts. He will wear them to funerals. Is it appropriate? Nobody that I know cares.
Sometimes a shirt is just a shirt.

That building next to the Port of San Francisco tower is giving us the finger!
