"North Korea Assassination Suspect Thought She Was Participating in a TV Prank"

Via Reddit:  A suspect in the killing of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un’s half-brother, who died in a shopping concourse at the Kuala Lumpur airport on Monday, reportedly thought she was participating in a television prank, not an international assassination.

Indonesia's national police chief Tito Karnavian said that the suspect, Siti Aisyah, 25, was paid to commit what she thought were a series of pranks, involving convincing strangers to close their eyes so she could then spray them with water, the Guardian reports.

“Such an action was done three or four times and they were given a few dollars for it, and with the last target, Kim Jong-nam, allegedly there were dangerous materials in the sprayer,” Karnavian said. “She was not aware that it was an assassination attempt by alleged foreign agents.”

There may be a way to delete bad memories from your mind

Via Drudge:  In news that will be particularly good for England football fans, experts have developed a way to delete unwanted memories from the brain.
The process mirrors the storyline in the hit movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind although it fails to bring happiness to Jim Carrey’s character.
University of Toronto experts have discovered that although there are millions of brain cells in the brain, only a handful are linked to bad memories.
And in groundbreaking studies on mice, they were able to pinpoint those brain cells associated with “fear or threat” memories - and delete them.
Crucially, the researchers found they could wipe away single, specific memories while leaving other memories intact.
The next step will be testing the treatment in people.
Elsewhere in the cosmos, it turns out bad memories are good for you...

More News that the Mainstream Media has no time for.....hat tip to the great Don Surber

A Chemical factory in Watertown upstate New York has been on strike. It was an old GE plant that was taken over by a hedge fund run by Steve Schwarzman who was named as his new jobs czar. The workers were on strike for various benefits and give backs. President Trump stepped in or at least told his guys to figure it out. They negotiated. They made a deal. The union signed a contract. They went back to work.

"Many of the strikers said they voted for President Trump off his campaign promise to make America great again. Some called on him to intervene.
“Trump promised to help America, to get us good jobs. Well here we are, fighting for our good jobs,” striker Carmine Cervini, 61, told The News last week.
Workers’ hopes of the President intervening faded when it was revealed that the man Trump tapped as his jobs czar, private equity billionaire Stephen Schwarzman, had until recently been a part owner of the Momentive plant. "

Instead they made a deal. As Mr. Surber said President Trump passed the test. He put American jobs first. His people helped make a deal that worked for both management and labor. Just like he did with the Coal miners yesterday. Something else people like Chuck Todd and Jake-Off Tapper ignored. American jobs for American workers. American manufacturing in displaced areas like upstate New York and Kentucky and West Virgina. Trumpland. Not NYC or LA. Places that the media have never been and want to disappear. Places that the Conservative Establishment Media like NRO want to die out and go away. Places that Megyn Kelly and Steven Colbert and JLo and Meryl Streep spit at and laugh at.

You will not see this reported on CNN. Instead they will make videos mocking President Trump and saying he is ranting and raving. Which is fine. Because he is winning. You have heard of  the "Death of a Thousand Cuts?" This is the birth of a win by a thousand sucesses. One factory. One job at a time.

I am starting to get worried.

The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes@NBCNews@ABC@CBS@CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

The President is starting to channel me.

He is tweeting stuff I say all the time. The press is the enemy of the American People. The next you know he is going to tweet "The only thing worse than a journalist is a lawyer." Or maybe he can tweet "Boston Sucks."

 It's getting weird. Just sayn'

Good night sweet prince: And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

Professional wrestler George "The Animal" Steele died at age 79, the WWE said in a statement.
Steele, whose real name is William James Myers was one of the WWE's most wild and outrageous stars.
Known for his green tongue and hairy chest, "The Animal" received a master's degree from Central Michigan University and was a high school teacher and wrestling coach in Michigan.
While he was teaching, he began to book gigs in the pro-wrestling world. His first WWE appearance was in 1967 when he began his rivalry against WWE champ Bruno Sammartino.
Famous for chewing the turnbuckle, "The Animal" was a yuge fan of Donald Trump and was in his corner during the famous match between the future President and Vince McMahon. He had recently been in contact with his old friend and was in negotiations to become his National Security Advisor. It was thought if he ripped out the seat cushions and started chewing the contents he would serve to intimidate Putin and the North Koreans.
The WWE Hall of Famer continued to make wrestling appearances through the 2000s.
He is survived by his wife Pat, their two sons Dennis and Randy and his favorite his daughter, Felicia. In fact his last words were directed to her when he said "Bye Felicia."

"Now HALF of families text each other in the same house"

Dailymail.com: Experts say tech craze could have a 'catastrophic' effect on family life

It’s not the only way mobiles get in the way of family time at home.

In a third of households, people use their mobiles during their mealtimes.

More than four in ten parents complain their children have ignored them at the table because they were so distracted by their phones. In fact, tablets and mobiles are so prevalent at home, they are also depriving us of rest.

A quarter of the 2,800 adults surveyed by Aviva admitted at least one person in their household was losing sleep because they were staying up too late on their phone, and one in five said that there was someone at home who just couldn’t ‘switch off’.

The press conference was fun..... but this is the real business of government.

President Trump had a press conference today where he bitch slapped the media. He called on all the whining press who were bitching that he didn't call on them. He answered everything. He will out last them in the end because they are lazy scum.

I heard someone on the radio say that this was the sort of crazy stuff that happens in the House of Commons during question time. Only this time it is the President vs the real opposition party....the press.

In the meantime President Trump is signing legislation and issuing orders and erasing burdensome regulations and the Democrats and the media are powerless to stop him. Contrast the blow dried scum bags in the press with the honest working men who were pathetically grateful to the man who is keeping his promises. Who is saving their jobs. Their industry. Our electrical grid. This is the real substance that happened today. Not the fake news about Russia. Not the nonsense about not calling on the mainstream media every time he takes a questions.

Real Americans. Real jobs. Real industries. Real accomplishments.

I was arguing with my mom and realized I was talking just like my Dad. Then when I was arguing with my Dad I realized I was talking just like my mom. It's a really horrifying realization.

Male pattern baldness, with hair loss starting at 20 years old. (Expletive deleted)

All of my grandparents and their parents had severe dementia as they grew old.

My mom has beautiful olive toned skin that I've never seen have a blemish or sunburn.
My dad, on the otherhand, has the splotchy red skin of an Irishman that burns if he thinks about the opening sequence of The Lion King too hard.
Guess whose genes I inherited?

Really sweaty hands

No discipline...I never had any rules growing up, my parents always had some late bill they had to pay, plans were always up in the air...I had to learn a lot of things from my own experience whether i was ready for it or not.

Dogs have human-like sense of morality, research shows

Researchers at Kyoto University's department of psychology in Japan have worked out that dogs - as well as some species of monkey - have an almost human-like sense of morality.

During a series of experiments, they found that our canine chums were less likely to interact with anyone they perceive as acting rudely or unfairly.

One experiment involved watching a dog watching two people (one of which was its owner) arrive with three balls each. One asked the other for their balls and, in some cases, that person obliged - handing over all their balls. Next, the person who had given up their balls asked for them back - again, sometimes the person obliged and other times they declined.

Following this exchange, the dogs were offered treats by both parties. And the researchers found that the dogs were less inclined to accept treats from the person they had observed as being selfish.

The researchers claim both the dogs and the capuchin monkeys that were also tested, made social judgements similar to those that a human might make.

Finding WW2 heroes

“It’s been sentimental doing this little search,” said Dube.

A few weeks ago, he uncovered a treasure in his sister’s attic.

Gathering dust for decades was a portfolio of his father’s artwork, including oil paintings watercolors and sketches.

They weren’t just any sketches; they were portraits of his father’s comrades in World War II.

“[These men] need to be remembered and honored and I just want to find them a home,” said Dube, his eyes welling up with tears.

He has safely delivered one sketch to its rightful owner, the grandson of Joseph Joner Kratky, who was killed in action in the Battle of Saipan.

“That’s why I have to do this because he’ll see what his grandfather actually look like back in 1943, a year before he passed,” he said.

On Monday, Dube was connected to the family of another, Joe Orbe.

Now, he’s looking for the families of the remaining 15 men, but he has little to go on.

“[My father] didn’t talk about World War II or the Army much,” said Dube.

what is the most 'mind boggling' fact you know?

Bill Kristol......needs to be dealt with.

Obviously strongly prefer normal democratic and constitutional politics. But if it comes to it, prefer the deep state to the Trump state.

Noted Never Trumper Bill Kristol is part of the campaign by the Deep State to destroy President Donald Trump. It has been reported that a cabal of Obama appointees including Yates, Brennen and Clapper have conspired to leak secret wiretaps to bring down General Flynn who wants to expose the full details of the Iranian treaty.

Congress is threatening to investigate General Flynn and the leaks. They have to know that people like Kristol and the plane crasher and the pillow biter are in the pocket of the deep state. They are more concerned with nation building and starting a conflict with Russia than defending our country from the Muslim hordes.

They are a cancer on the Republic. They need to be dealt with. Expeditiously. Severely. Without remorse. The entire hierarchy of the intelligence services need to be fired.

If not they will conspire to undermine the security of the United States for their own neocon ends.

I hope President Trump wakes up and does what needs to be done.

The Deep State claims it's first victim.

President Donald Trump made a mistake by accepting the resignation of General Michael Flynn today who was a victim in the continuing war of the  Deep State against the Red State. The war mongers who insist on ginning up a war with Russia have a scalp today. The unremitting hostility of the Deep State of the intelligence community as manifested by the utlra-liberal pro Muslim Obama appointee's has claimed it's first victim in General Flynn.

General Flynn is a patriot who knows that the enemy of America is the Muslim terror apparatus and not the Russians. He was brought down by leaks  from Obama appointee and liberal darling Acting Attorney General Yates who leaked classified wiretaps on General Flynn's phone call to a Russian counterpart during the transition. This has been out there for a while but was confirmed by two other traitorous Obama appointees James Clapper and former CIA director and Muslim convert Brennan. So the mainstream media was able to go forward with the story and help force out General Flynn. He of course did not help himself by lying to Vice President Pence when he said he did not discuss the sanctions with the Russians. That was indeed a bad mistake and gave Pence and his allies a knife to shiv him with to get their guy in there. I guess that the General was so used to lying in the spy game he thought he would get away with it again.

The CIA under the now totally co-opted Pompous ex Congress Critter will lobby to put a toady in there. The senile old plane crasher and the pillow biter are also estatic as they won't have to deal with someone who doesn't want to go to war with Russia. The rampaging leftists who conveniently became anti-Russian because  they want to blame Russia for Hillary losing the election can also spike the ball today. They are all rejoicing today and they will be taking a victory lap for the next month.

He's not a joker...he's not a smoker...he's not a midnight toker....he is just telling it the way it is!

Finally. President Trump has found a spokesman who clearly and decisively spells out the facts in a plain spoken manner that anyone can understand. He cites the law. He explains simply and clearly why the politicians in judicial robe were totally wrong in stopping the Presidents executive order with respect to travel from terrorist supporting countries.

You can tell how effective he was by the response. Listen to the servant of the duopoly Chris Wallace sputter and fail away at him as the Joker just steamrolls him. Noted Intern Killer Joe Scarface went nuts this morning as well in attacking him and calling him irresponsible. George Porgie also lost it when he interviewed Miller on his crap fest on Sunday. They have to get him out there more. Let him lay it out straight. I think Miller and Sebastian Gorker are two of the most effective spokesman that the Trump administration has and the news media has no answer to them.

"what's the worst possible gift for your significant other on Valentines Day?"

Reddit top comments...

Girl I started dating a couple of months before Valentine's Day just got out of a long term relationship with her high school sweetheart. I didn't know she was still in contact with him when we were dating. She handed me a cute little bag with candy and a card. As I opened the card and read her pouring out her soul to her ex boyfriend about how much she still thinks about him and loves him. Evidently she made two gift bags. One for me and one for the ex and mixed them up.

My girlfriend gave me a pack of cigarettes because I was trying to quit smoking, and she thought it would help me relax.

I bought my wife a microwave for our first Valentine's day back in 2005...she had just moved into her new place and needed a microwave...not sure why everyone didn't see how thoughtful I was being

When asked what my SO wanted one year, she said she wanted a H2O steamer mop. Cost me about £100 and she got flowers, chocolates and a date night on top of it. But of course, whenever telling the story, it has become the time I got her a mop for Valentine's Day.

I saved a patatoe in the freezer that was the perfect shape of a heart. I put it in there in June for February. When I got it out and proudly gave it to my wife it literally turned black and started leaking juices in front of her. In theory it was cute in practice it was like a death threat.

"The Real Reason Car Dealerships Are the Worst"

"Mel Brooks: Trump not reached reached Hitlerian proportions… yet"

The Producers creator Mel Brooks has said he does not think Donald Trump is worthy of his own musical because he does not think he is dangerous.

He said: “He just simply hasn’t reached Hitlerian proportions yet, he might get there.

“I’m not afraid of him, I don’t think he’s dangerous. I think he’s mostly an entertainer, a guy who wants audiences to love him.

“What I’m afraid of is all the guys around him, all the people who whisper in his ears, like the people who whispered in George W Bush’s ears and we got the Iraq War.

“I just hope Trump stays the egomaniac he is, listens to no-one and then we will all be safe. But if he believes these guys we are all in trouble.”

"What to do if immigration officers come knocking at your door"

Via Drudge:  If Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents show up at the door, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) advises not opening it unless the agents can show a warrant signed by a judge.

"Ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door," the graphic, available in multiple languages, says.

ICE administrative warrants don't allow agents to enter a home without the consent of the residents. Residents can ask through the door why the agents are there and request an interpreter if they need one.

If there is no warrant, ask the agents to leave information outside.

If the agents force their way into the home, "don't resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent," the ACLU says.

If you are arrested "remain silent and do not sign anything until you speak to a lawyer," the graphic said.

The Leon Of The CA Senate

The latest from California State Senate President Pro Tempore, Kevin de Leon:
Responding to President Trump’s suggestion of 'withholding federal funding' from California, de Leon said: 'Half of my family would be eligible for deportation under the executive order, because they got a false social security card, they got a false identification, they got a false driver’s license prior to us passing AB 60, they got a false green card, and anyone who has family members who are undocumented knows that almost entirely everybody has secured some sort of false identification.' link
I'm so critical of de Leon that I'm not even going to give him his diacritical mark. Become American, dude.

China Still Wants Its Wattle Back

Japan Condemns N Korea Missile Launch — Trump: U.S. Stands Behind Japan 100 Percent

What's up with damn Chinese and their tolerance & support of the North Korean regime? Oh, I know that they backed them politically, financially, and in every possible way including dying for them. And we fought on the other side, including my own father and uncles.

It is just shameful that China won't defang this retrograde nation. China could so lead by example by allowing the peaceful deposing of the toxic clan running that place. I'm beginning to think that they won't out of stubborn Chinese pride: They want their wattle back:
'The Chinese people do not want to have war, so we will be opposed to [the] U.S. if it stirs up any conflict,' said Liu Zhenmin, vice minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 'Of course, if the Korean War or Vietnam War are replayed, then we will have to defend ourselves.'
What a brash admission of the proxy nature of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts: We were obviously fighting Red China in both wars-- fighting over China's ancient wattle and feet:

I believe there remains a lot of American ambivalence regarding those 20th century conflicts. And yet, are we willing to knuckle under to Chinese hegemony in all things trade, science, and eventually -- culture?
