WKRLEM: Even you Spinelli

You know why Hillary can't dance?

Whose that girl?

She is a nurse that they would never turn out of her flat to give it to a dirty Muslim refugee. Plus they wouldn't want to live there since they would have to bathe in a water tank.

Wait a minute. What am I talking about? They don't bathe.

Oh well.....whose that girl?

Wisconsin man beheaded mom with sword after family breakfast

New York Daily News, September 26, 2015
Police say a Wisconsin man beheaded his mother with a four-foot blade before confessing to the killing but saying, "she's not my real mother."
Matthew Skalitzky, 60, had just finished breakfast with his parents late Friday morning when his roommate reported hearing screaming coming from his bedroom, according to a search warrant obtained by Madison Newspapers.
When he rushed up the stairs and to his room, he told Sun Prairie police he saw 88-year-old Jane Skalitzky's body lying separately from her head.
The mother and son had only just arrived after an overnight stay at his parents,' he said.
Jane, who offered to drive her son home, was described by Matthew's roommate as "being friendly and greeting him" while Matthew seemed "distant and unemotional."
Moments after they went upstairs, his roommate said he heard stomping noises followed by Jane screaming "no, no, no."

When police arrived they found the bloody sword on the porch and Matthew coming down the stairs inside. After making the grisly discovery, he said he led Matthew downstairs and to a couch, "like a child," and then went outside to call 911.
When he was asked if his mother was dead, he allegedly replied: "Yes, but she's not my real mother. She voted for Walker. She couldn't be my mother."
Matthew's father said his son recently stopped taking his medication after reading "negative comments" about the drugs on-line. He reportedly spent most of his time on-line posting comments at websites under the name Garage Mahal where spouts liberal rhetoric supplied by the Democratic National Committee. He started back on the drug just two days before the attack.
His son was arrested without incident and taken to a mental health facility.

"German nurse shocked after being forced out of flat to make way for refugees"

I was completely shocked and I can’t even begin to find the words to describe how the city has treated me,”Halbey told the German publication. “I have had to go through a lot of difficulties recently, and then I get this notice. It was like a kick in the teeth.”
The mayor of Nieheim, Rainer Vidal, which has a population of just over 6,000, defended the decision to send the nurse packing, saying converting the building would be “the cheapest option.”
“A new residential unit for 30 refugees in Nieheim would cost €30,000 ($33,600). This solution will cost me nothing,” he told Die Welt.
The new normal.

How John Boehner sees things......

"John this is so unfair. You didn't do anything wrong. How could they drum you out of the party?"
"I guess life is unfair. I will have to go out into the wilderness. Wandering the West. Helping the less fortunate. Trying to redeem myself. I could just cry."
"How could they doe this to you, After you have been such a great leader. What a disgrace."
"I know. I know. Boooo hoooo, booo hoooo......"

"Government finds new emails Clinton did not hand over"

"The U.S. Defense Department has found an email chain that Hillary Clinton did not give to the State Department, the State Department said on Friday, despite her saying she had provided all work emails from her time as secretary of state."
The correspondence with General David Petraeus, who was commander of U.S. Central Command at the time, started shortly before she entered office and continued during her first days as the top U.S. diplomat in January and February of 2009....
Last December, she provided what she said were copies of all 30,000 or so work emails she had in her possession, nearly two years after she stepped down as secretary of state.
She did not hand over another 30,000 emails from the period that she deemed personal and said she chose "not to keep."
The emails with Petraeus also appear to contradict the claim by Clinton's campaign that she used a private BlackBerry email account for her first two months at the department before setting up her account in March 2009. This was the reason her campaign gave for not handing over any emails from those two months to the State Department.
The lies just keep piling up

Netflix is running a Keith Richards biopic called "Under The Influence"; I watched it tonight. I suppose it's a must see for Stones fans. I enjoyed it. One thing I did learn was that Keith wrote "Street Fighting Man" on piano and that the germ for the idea came from noodling around in the studio with Charlie Watts. Keith played only acoustic guitar on the song (no electric) and he also played bass guitar! In his words "I'm probably a better bass player than a guitar player."

Lyrics for the song (which set a personal record for me for "misheard lyrics") are after the jump.

That does it. This is where the program is closed.

An app. What the heck. It's a good one too. It offers puzzles from some twenty places, several are doubled on the list. The best, of course, will be NYT, only a few classics of those. I expect they will be the only ones with themes and themes are the only thing that makes these worthwhile.

This one is from a place called Universal Crosswords, never heard of them, it's titled "turn around" so, with a title it very well could have a theme, a long entry is filled in "flip side," that goes, thematically, if so then it's a lame theme with only two thematic entries and the list says on the front before reentering this puzzle is saved at 58% completed before being abandoned as unworthy. Because of the yellow word.

It's a bummer when solvers are smarter than constructors. It's not supposed to be that way. Dummkopfery like this wrecks the whole thing and not just this puzzle, the whole Universal Crossword collection and their editors. This is a junior high school error. Another thing, at twenty, don't correct anyone twenty years your senior on this word at an outdoor patio dinner or the label "smartass" attached to you will take decades to outgrow. This puzzle, one word clued so poorly put me off the whole thing.

WKRLEM: Hush, hush...don't talk now.....voices carry!

One last Pope post and I will shut up!

The Prefect Storm!

"Hillary Clinton certifies email handover, but aides demur"

"Acting in response to a request from a federal judge, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Friday submitted her first official, formal certification under penalty of perjury that she had all her work-related email turned over to the State Department."
However, two aides to Clinton appear to have rebuffed parallel requests from U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan that they similarly certify that they'd turned over certain emails and other records in their possession relating to their work at State...
State's decision to deem classified some of the emails on Clinton's server has also created a layer of complexity some may see as a Catch-22: if aides destroy the records, they could be seen as hindering ongoing investigations, but if they deliberately hang on to classified materials without authorization, they could be breaking the law.
Sullivan did not appear completely satisfied with the assurances in the latest round of letters, as he issued an order Friday night instructing State to ask Clinton, Mills and Abedin not to destroy any official records.
"The Court hereby directs the Government to request that Mrs. Hillary Clinton, Ms. Huma Abedin, and Ms. Cheryl Mills i) not delete any federal documents, electronic or otherwise, in their possession or control, and ii) provide appropriate assurances to the Government that the above-named individuals will not delete any such documents," wrote Sullivan, an appointee of President Bill Clinton. "The Government shall inform the Court of the status of its compliance with this Order no later than August 12, 2015, including a copy of any assurances provided by Mrs. Clinton, Ms. Abedin and Ms. Mills that they will not delete any federal documents in their possession or control."
What a mess.

Pope embraces Cuomo legacy.

New York Post September 25, 2015
Pope Francis’ warm and forgiving nature was on display again Thursday when he said he would pray for Gov. Cuomo’s late father, Mario, sources told The Post.
The pontiff told Cuomo that Mario — who himself led New York state from 1983 to 1994 — was a great man despite Mario’s support of abortion rights.
Francis also blessed the governor’s gal pal, Sandra Lee — a cancer survivor — when the couple met the pontiff outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral before a service.
“The pope gave Sandra a special blessing for her health and her recovery and Cuomo asked the pope to say a prayer for his father,” the source said.
“The pope told him . . . that his father was a great man and he would keep him in his prayers.”
Mario Cuomo, who died in January, argued in a 1984 speech at the University of Notre Dame that Catholic politicians could personally oppose abortion while fighting laws that would restrict it.
Lee said this week she was cancer-free after undergoing a double mastectomy.

Chuck Schumer: Pope Francis is ‘the best ever!’

New York Post September 25,2015

Pope Pope Francis has a new No. 1 fan — and he isn’t even Catholic.
Sen. Charles Schumer was effusive in his praise of the pontiff’s speech to Congress Thursday when the pair met later outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

“Congress just loved you and loved your speech. All of New York loves you, Catholic and non-Catholic alike,” said Schumer, who is Jewish. “We all agree in Congress, it was just about the best speech‎ we’ve ever heard!

Timothy Cardinal Dolan, who was with the pope, responded, “That’s quite a compliment!"

And a smiling Francis agreed.

“Thank you,” he told Schumer, who earlier had told CNN his “hair was standing on end” when he first met the pope.

It is very difficult when you don't believe in your leader.

It is extremely difficult when you have a leader you do not believe in. You want to be loyal but you know that he is mistaken and going down the wrong path. So you speak out in protest. You say"this is not who we are." You plead with him to fight for the causes that you have always believed in. That he speak up forthrightly and clearly and not kowtow to the likes of Obama to garner good notices in the media. You will lose friends who can't believe that you would dare question your leader no matter how far astray he might lead you. You are told that you shouldn't dare speak out. That legitimate criticism is "bashing" and beyond the pale. You protest that we should not abandon the fight for the right to life or other core issues to engage in global warming nonsense. You plead with him to fight the good fight vocally and vehemently. To not surrender and acquiesce by tailoring his message to a more palatable version of namby pamby safe speak.

But don't worry. I have very good news.

John Boehner has retired.

So we don't have to worry about that anymore.

The real Gone Girl

"German 'Murder' Victim Petra Pazsitka Turns Up Alive 30 Years After Disappearance"
The cold case was officially closed in 1989 — but heated up again two weeks ago when police in the western German city of Düsseldorf were called to reports of a burglary.
The woman who reported the burglary initially identified herself as "Mrs. Schneider" but when asked for identification confessed that she was Pazsitka, according to Düsseldorf police spokesman Andre Hartwich.
Pazsitka, now 55, told police she had been living without any official documents under a false name in several German cities for the past three decades, Grande said.
"She did not even have a bank account and paid all her bills cash," Grande said, adding that Pazsitka appeared to have been making a small income through illicit work.
According to Grande, Pazsitka would not elaborate on why she was living under a false name or why she disappeared in the first place...

I remember.......

Pope Francis offers prayers for Muslims killed in Mecca.

She must be bleeding from somewhere?

The Donald is fighting with Fox News again. After the Bill O'Reilly show canceled his appearance the pompous blow hard decided he would not appear on Fox. Trump that is not O'Reilly. The big brains at Fox decided that the best way to make nice was to have one of their commentators say that "Carly Farina cut off Trump's balls." The Donald is full of faux outrage and talking about the FCC. It is almost as if someone talked about his face.
Anyhoo he spent the day yapping on CNN and MSNBC and FOX surrendered faster than Mitch the Bitch McConnell. There is going to be a sit down with Trump and Roger Ailes to see if they can come to a meeting of the minds. FOX will buckle. They want the ratings. Which The Donald brings in spades. So to speak.

Trump has provided one great service to the nation. He has exposed FOX and many of the conservative elite media as minions of the Welfare State. If Boehner and McConnell are the tax collectors for the Welfare State these mugs are the mouthpieces for them. The right side of the Octopus. The mirror image of Chrissy Tingle and Rachel Maddow who can't think outside of the box.

I am cross with Comcast for hiking my bill repeatedly and significantly too. There have been technological changes, it is a challenge keeping up, they went digital, they went HDTV, they changed the terms of our agreement due mostly to industry changes.

We cannot expect to stay locked into old technology for long. Tech companies bringing this change to their customers acknowledge the tricky business and how they manage these changes in series is everything. Companies must anticipate and capitalize new areas while shedding the areas that support them.

This is not only a rant. This is an insight.

The insight is Comcast annual increases are built in. Subscribers must get worked up about their automatic regularly scheduled annual increase and argue a new contract each and every year or accept a higher bill each year. That is Comcast business model. To soften the matter Comast altered contractual language so the discussion is about you accepting their "promotion."

Don't like it?

They already know that. Long before I came along.

"Treat meat eaters like smokers"

"Meat should be treated like tobacco with a public campaign to stop people eating it, Jeremy Corbyn's new vegan shadow farming minister has suggested."
Kerry McCarthy, MP for Bristol East, has irked the British farming industry with her veganism and vice presidency of the anti-hunting League Against Cruel Sports.
In an interview with Viva!life, a magazine for vegans, she admitted she was a "militant" when it came to clamping down on meat consumption.
She said: "I really believe that meat should be treated in exactly the same way as tobacco, with public campaigns to stop people eating it.
She said: "Too much milk is being produced and if you live by the market you have to risk dying by the market."
Tim Bonner, of the Countryside Alliance, said: "Kerry McCarthy’s views on meat eating and livestock farming are completely out of step with the vast majority of people.
"Her ideas are verging on the cranky. This appointment is only going to make it more difficult for Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party to reconnect with rural Britain."

Ted Cruz: The Republican Party’s Surrender Politics

President Obama demands of Congress: fund all of Obamacare, with no changes to help the millions being hurt by that failed law, or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: fund his unconstitutional executive amnesty—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: give $500 million in taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood, a private organization under criminal investigation—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down.
The core of this capitulation comes from Republican leadership’s promise that “There will be no government shutdown.” On its face, the promise sounds reasonable. Except in practice it means that Republicans never stand for anything....
In 2010, we were told that Republicans would stand and fight if only we had a Republican House. In 2014, we were told that Republicans would stand and fight just as soon as we won a majority in the Senate and retired Harry Reid. In both instances, the American people obliged. Now we’re told that we must wait until 2017 when we have a Republican president.
Like Charlie Brown and the football, this disconnect explains the massive frustration with Washington. The American people do not believe Republicans will actually do what we say we will do.
The latest example: When video evidence surfaced depicting the barbaric selling of unborn baby parts by Planned Parenthood, Americans of conscience—pro-life and pro-choice alike—were understandably shocked. People on both sides of a contentious issue agreed that at a minimum, until the results of the investigations are known, the federal government should suspend taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood.
Separately, the American people are also understandably horrified by an Iranian nuclear deal that profoundly threatens our national security.
These priorities matter. But leadership’s only question for those who are fighting for the American people is this: How do you get 67 Senate votes to override the president’s veto? If that is the standard, then the Republican position quickly deteriorates to “We will only support whatever Harry Reid agrees to.”....
If Obama forces a shutdown, it’s worth remembering that during the previous government slowdown, operations associated with roughly 80 percent of government spending continued, including pay for military personnel, national security, Social Security and Medicare beneficiaries and everything else federal law deems “essential.”....
If Republican leadership actually tried to win, we would vote on one bill after another funding specific parts of the federal government. Fund it all, and let Democrats explain why they are filibustering funding for vital services to give $500 million to a private organization under criminal investigation.

Pope Francis Secretly Met With Little Sisters of the Poor

Aleteia blog by Kirsten Anderson September 23, 2015

A Vatican spokesman revealed late Wednesday evening that Pope Francis earlier met privately with members of the Little Sisters of the Poor, the group of religious sisters at the center of a high-profile legal battle over the Obamacare birth control mandate which is expected to reach the Supreme Court.

Fr. Frederico Lombardi, spokesman for the Holy See, told reporters at a Washington, D.C. press conference that Francis met with the nuns as “a sign of his support” for them in their lawsuit against the Obama administration. The sisters are seeking exemption from Obamacare’s birth control mandate, which requires employers to facilitate the provision of full, copay-free coverage for contraceptives, sterilization and the so-called “morning-after pill” for their female employees – all of which the Catholic Church considers immoral. The meeting, which was not on the pope’s publicly-released schedule of events, was held just hours after the pontiff met with President Obama at the White House. Father Lombardi did not say where, but he noted that the Little Sisters have a convent near the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, where Pope Francis celebrated a late afternoon Mass. It is likely that he visited the order just after celebrating the liturgy.

In their public remarks at the White House, Obama spoke at length about religious freedom overseas. But Pope Francis highlighted his concerns about religious freedom right here in the U.S., where the government and the Christian faithful, including the Little Sisters, have clashed over issues like same-sex “marriage” and employer-funded birth control.

"Say I'm 70 years old, only got a few years left..."

"...what's stopping me from spending a lot of money and racking up a load of debt?"

Top voted Reddit comments...
...when do creditors stop handing out credit? When do they start decreasing credit limits?
Let's say you're 70 and you have 5-10 credit cards with a combined limit of ~$100k. That's not very far-fetched. I'm 35 and have limits half that. What's to stop someone with that credit from spending a lot of that money and then making minimum payments until they die? Hell, what if they know they're dying within a year or two? Credit card companies can't see their medical records. Is there anything preventing them from running up tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt before they die? IS THAT WHY MY INTEREST IS SO HIGH ON MY CREDIT CARDS?! I'LL MURDER YOU OLD PEOPLE!!
most older people want to leave money to their families, especially their kids. If you die with a huge debt, they get nothing, and all of your property (including your family home) will get sold to pay your debt.
The correct answer is nothing, but its generally risky and the reward is limited. Its basically the same reason that 70 years old don't do heroin. They just keep doing what they've been doing. They mostly try to enjoy time with their loved ones, have sex with other elderly people, stay healthy, and hope to live for another 20 years.
I've worked in credit cards in fraud and collections. Nothing stops you. A lot of old people have done it.
Usually, they run up their cards because of inadequate retirement savings and they charge a little each month to cover food, rent, or medicine. With those people we have little recourse as their assets are basically nil.
Once in a while someone does exactly what you are talking about usually buying a ton of stuff right before they die. But usually people are so ill can't actually get out to the store to buy the stuff themselves. So they give the card to relatives or give the relative their own card on their account as an authorized user or co-signer.
If someone racks up a ton of debt and has assets the Fraud dept will get involved.
One of two things happens.
1) We put a claim against their estate. While credit cards are unsecured credit we can still put liens against the estate. If their only asset was the home they owned that will have a lien on it. So if you want to pass anything on to your kids the card companies will make sure they get their share.
Unsecured debt is last in line for any payouts on assets with secured debt like mortgages and car loans having first cut on the assets they are secured with. Retired people have usually paid off their homes so we would could get first dibs if we file our lien before other debtors.
2) Once the person dies their account is closed as of time of death. Fraud has caught a surprising number of people using credit cards after death. Often they are authorized users who have a card but are not account holders so the charge is fraudulent. The threat of jail time if they don't pay often gets people to take on a large amount of debt they thought would be clear.
If you are a co-signer then you are now on the hook for the whole amount.

"When forgiving someone who has done you wrong in a terrible way..."

"...the forgiving part is for yourself. Not the other person."
I'll admit that I'm too young for reddit (14), but feel like getting the message out there because it is still important.
I'll keep this short and simple.
Until age 6, me and my father were best friends, until he got addicted to drugs and alcohol. This happened until I was 12, so my mom would never let me see him. He got clean a few years back, but married a woman who disliked me. Therefore, he did not want to see me. I've only just fully adjusted to accepting the fact that he is out of my life, but he relapsed in drinking last year. He has been trying to contact me, but I ignored him every time. The thing is: it was and still is too mentally exhausting for me to deal with him.
It started with his liver. Now, most of his organs are shutting down like clockwork. He is very sick and is practically pleading to spend a day with me and I've decided to give it a shot. For peace between the two of us.
I go and see him tomorrow before he gets moved to another hospital. I'm not sure what to expect.
Remember, forgiving is for yourself, not for the other person. Don't be afraid of giving forgiveness.

Book claims Hillary lost it at a meeting with Obama

"Clinton requested a meeting with Obama, against the advice of hubby Bill Clinton, believing “she was being persecuted for minor, meaningless violations,” author Edward Klein writes."
“What I want for you to do is call off your f–king dogs, Barack!” Clinton allegedly barked at Obama, according to Klein’s account, which cited sources close to Clinton and Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.
In another section of the book, Klein says Clinton faces “mounting health issues” — and is secretly worried she’s too sick to run for president, according to an excerpt posted by Radar Online.
The 67-year-old former first lady and New York senator has been “frequently plagued” by “blinding headaches,” according to Klein.
Ron Fournier to Hillary: Come Clean or Get Out

The Popes speech at the White House

Mr. President,
I am deeply grateful for your welcome in the name of all Americans. As the son of an immigrant family, I am happy to be a guest in this country, which was largely built by such families. I look forward to these days of encounter and dialogue, in which I hope to listen to, and share, many of the hopes and dreams of the American people.
During my visit I will have the honor of addressing Congress, where I hope, as a brother of this country, to offer words of encouragement to those called to guide the nation’s political future in fidelity to its founding principles. I will also travel to Philadelphia for the Eighth World Meeting of Families, to celebrate and support the institutions of marriage and the family at this, a critical moment in the history of our civilization.

Pride of the Yankees

Yogi Berra has passed. He was a true Yankee. He was a true blue American. Served in World War 2 in the Navy. At D Day he was a gunners mate on a landing craft. A great ball player. A tremendous coach. A manager who took both the Yankees and the Mets to World Series. A man of the up-most integrity. When George fired him at the beginning of the 1985 season after only the 16th game of the season he refused to have anything to do with the Yankees for 15 years. But he was a big enough guy to forgive and come back to fold. To accept the mantle of "Greatest Living Yankee" after Joe D passed.

There is talk of assimilation in the air these days. Yogi was the epitome of that. He was the first generation and still spoke Italian to his parents. He became an American without reservation. He became a icon of baseball which is the American game. He would come to the Stadium and was honored by everyone as a living monument of the game. Every Old Timers game he would impart his wisdom to the new Yankees. Who would be lucky to a fraction of his career.

Farewell Sweet Prince. You were the epitome of class and a True Yankee. We won't see you're like anytime soon.

Ostraca are pieces of broken pottery used to etch messages in ancient Greece and to practice art in ancient Egypt. They are flat hard surfaces that artists used for practice to work out forms and compositions. Many examples exist of artists practicing such things as working out the shape of an owls head, the unique features of particular individuals seen repeatedly, exercising and trying out freedom with musicians and gymnastics in configurations seen in use repeatedly, nursemaids, animals and the like that are not subject to cannon of configuration and proportion, along with random examples of political satire and pornography.

[ostricon] will give Greek examples and the most famous Egyptian.

No matter what search is used the ostracon of a female gymnast bending backward is seen fifteen times for every one time the lady musician is shown. And when the lady musician is shown, usually as "musician with a lute," she is also displayed wrongly standing rather than supine.

It's a piece of broken trash pottery used for practice that is so famous it has a name. It's fractured, important sections missing and yet it shows skill surprisingly deft and not usually seen.

Jeb Bush says something unlikely for him to say three months ago

"Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said Tuesday that multiculturalism is bad for the United States, adding that immigrants who close themselves off from American culture deny themselves access to economic rewards."
A young woman approached the candidate and asked how the federal government could help refugees better incorporate into U.S. society.
"We should not have a multicultural society," Bush said, before beginning a longer explanation of his views of what comprises culture in the U.S.
"When you create pockets of isolation - and in some places the process of assimilation has been retarded because they've slowed down - it's wrong," he added. "It limits people's aspirations." (read more)
A different Bush emerges. Let's see how long it will take for him to backtrack. Can a RINO change his spots?

Clinton was doing the candidate thing -- signing autographs Sunday in Georgetown when our man Colin asked if Maya Angelou should be in the running. Her response: "I was sort of amazed that the Republicans couldn't think of one American woman."
Not entirely accurate -- there were a couple nods for Rosa Parks and Susan B. Anthony, but yeah ... they also said Margaret Thatcher and Mother Teresa.
But then Clinton added, "I could give them a really long list if they're interested."
Alright, door's wide open, sooo ... watch what happens when Colin asks for that list.

"Selfies Have Killed More People Than Sharks This Year"

"Around the world, 12 people have died while trying to take a selfie, while eight have died from shark attacks."
So how are people dying while taking selfies. By Mashable's count, four died from falling, and some were hit or injured by trains. Plus, one man was gored to death while taking a selfie at the running of the bulls in Pamplona, and one woman who died in a car accident was taking selfies before the crash.
Taking risky selfies is becoming such a problem that one Colorado park had to completely shut down because people were taking selfies with bears close by. According to Reuters, governments around the world are issuing PSAs warning people about the risks of taking adventurous selfies. "A cool selfie could cost you your life," a Russian campaign warns.
Then again, not taking that selfie could cost you some valuable likes on Instagram. There are always pros and cons to anything.

"Transgender Woman Says She Was Delayed by TSA for Anatomical 'Anomaly'"

It's the kid school clock story, déjà vu all over again.
"I stepped into the full body scanner, the TSA agent looked at me and pressed the F button," Petosky said in an interview with NBC News via text message. "The scanner picked up an 'anomaly' in my crotch area."
"I said, 'I'm transgender. That's my penis,'" Petosky recalled. "The TSA officer then said something like, 'If you are a man, then go back in the machine and we'll run you as a man.'"...
According to Petosky, the TSA officer replied, "If you don't want to be run as a man, we'll have to search you. Are you a man or a woman?"
Then he asked her whether she wanted a male or female agent to search her body.
"I kind of froze. I have never been flagged in the groin before and didn't want to make a female officer touch there, but didn't want a man to do the pat down," she said.
Exactly who am I supposed to be?

A hand-drawn picture for you, my sweets. A horse. I saw it somewhere. It was inspiring and I thought of you. In the style of Artist Guillaume Azoulay, have a look if you like  and see if it agrees.

A tall order

I have to go see a horse about a man

The World’s Biggest Horse, Brooklyn Supreme

I see your roundabout and I raise you a walkabout.

roundabout in Lujiazui, China

I am a real person

Google it and see what happens ["i am a real person"]

So claims Hillary Clinton.

Joke's on you. You'd have to listen to her yourself answer John Dickerson on Face the Nation. You'd have to listen to her cackle first. You'd have to endure her scathing sharp aggressive voice. And worse, you'd have to pay attention to Hillary.

National Review ridicules.
Daily Beast indulges her lying about her server and dismissing criticism. Has video.
Real Clear Politics dishes it straight with video.
Talking Points Memo deals it straight with video.

WKRLEM: Scott Walker this is for you

US soldiers are being court-martialed and drummed out of the service because they stopped homosexual rape of under aged boys.

Captain Dan Quinn beat the shit out of an Afghan pervert who had been raping a young boy that he had chained to his bed. To stop him from abusing this child which seems to be a "cultural norm" of this Muslim society. This special forces Captain was court-martialed and thrown out of the Army. His Sergeant who was involved is now being targeted by the Army.

According to a report on Hot Air when asked about this matter: "When asked about American military policy, the spokesman for the American command in Afghanistan, Col. Brian Tribus, wrote in an email: “Generally, allegations of child sexual abuse by Afghan military or police personnel would be a matter of domestic Afghan criminal law.” He added that “there would be no express requirement that U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan report it.”

Don't ask......don't tell?

Now President Obama has nominated a gay executive to be Secretary of the Army. Will he be asked about this situation? Does he approve ignoring the raping of teenage boys by our so called allies? Does he think the only people who should be punished are the ones who are trying to stop it?

Tolerance. It's a wonderful thing.

girl with Pelosi balloon

It's stupid, I know. Somebody else started it by putting her face on another image. They were talking about something else. The vertical line of Pelosi's neck looked like a sting that aligns with the cowl edging, both being more or less centered. That's all. The girl could have been tiny and the cowl edging used as string. But the string should be tight, should be strait, or curved, not irregular because science.

This means I think Nancy Pelosi is an airhead and her supporters are little girls with balloons unaware of the menace they hold aloft. No. It means that thing in Pelosi's neck in this image looks like a string, and it aligns with the cowl edge, it's stupid, and that's all.

"Pentagon promotes 'Lean In' groups to boost women in leadership"

"U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter, keen to expand the number of women and minorities in military leadership, on Monday will endorse "Lean In" discussion groups sparked by Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg's bestselling book, a senior defense official said."
"If you look at the numbers, it's clear that we are not where we should be in terms of the leadership reflecting the overall force," said the official. "It's important that our force reflect the nation that it protects."
Women make up about 15 percent of the U.S. military, and thousands of women have served alongside men in Iraq and Afghanistan. But women also leave military service during the mid-career phase at twice the rate of men, and top military officials are seeking ways to retain them.
The caption to the picture below reads... "I'm a single woman in the early thirties, who doesn't want children. Yesterday, I accepted my future."  Could she have made a fantastic general?

"What is the Medieval equivalent to your modern job?"

Top voted Reddit Comments...
I'd be in Medieval tech support.
"I have a problem... Every time I step outside, my feet get wet."
"Hmm... Have you tried rebooting?"
I don't think there is a medieval equivalent of web development... book binding, maybe?
I'm doing a PhD in Planetary Physics, so I'd probably be an astrologer. Oh ffs.
"Hello, blacksmith support... Yes, I see... Have you tried reshoeing it?... OK... OK, double-click on the horse and tell me how many legs it's got... Yeah, that type does tend to fall over. We're working on a fix. In the meantime, please use a peasant."
Being a mum/housewife? No real change there, except then I'd have no human rights.

That Face! Who is gonna vote for that face!

The man talking to the cops is totally "high energy".

"A New Service in Japan Rents Out Hot Men to Wipe Away Your Tears"

"The service was developed by Hiroki Terai, who is also responsible for creating "rui katsu" ("public crying events") and releasing a photo book of hot men crying. Terai is a big proponent of crying for stress-relief, which explains why this new service sends the "couriers" directly into peoples' offices. Once there, the "courier" (a good-looking man, or "ikemen" in Japanese) will watch sad videos with the client until she cries, using a handkerchief to wipe away her tears and gently touching her cheek."
Ikemeso Danshi currently offers six different options to choose from, all with different looks for equal-opportunity tastes. The company lists their fee as ¥7,900, or about $65, but they do not indicate how long each session with your personal tear-wiper is supposed to last.
Transparent tears matter. You reddit here first ;)

"There’s been a literal and physical punching."

Top satire at ricochet by John Gabriel, The Mean Streets of Mackinac Island written in the style of 40's detective pulp, Dixon Hill if you're familiar with the STNG story line. John let's you know it's a joke by the title, by the first sentence and by hilariously incongruent photographs. True story: John Yob, aid to Rand Paul claims Rich Beeson, deputy campaign manager for Marco Rubio punched him at a Republican conference at (fairyland) Mackinac Island. Facts are clouded because parties were drunk.

If you're interested, and who isn't? [yob, beeson, mackinac]

It does look like a nice hotel for a weekend if you can take a level of saccharine so aching your teeth are set on edge. John Gabriel's tale is a hard-bitten detective short story with Disneyland pictures and a lingering scent of cotton candy.

Related because the the original lyrics for "Peace Frog" was a Morrison poem called "Abortion Stories."

I like that version of the song because it preserves the seamless link between "Peace Frog" and "Blue Sunday" that was present in the original vinyl release; it's lost in the digital version which has an audible gap.

I think one of the original points of the combination was sin and redemption. Not that Jim Morrison was a Christian. But if you think about it, he was obsessed with morality.
