KLEM FM


And here all along for all these years, I thought Tom Petty was saying "Shelly" went he really was singing "shove it."  That brill!  I'm relieved too, because I strongly believe that songwriters should avoid personal names in otherwise universal paeans to love and regret. An example having such a reference is  in Badfinger's "Baby Blue:

Possibly the best final scene in a television series evah.

The refrain in Here Comes My Girl always sounds like The Cars to me.

No, but I did think while listening to the song that it's not a given he died...could have still been breathing when an ambulance arrived.
