Inspector General announces publication date for report

Thursday June 18th, 2018. That's the date Michael Horowitz told the Senate Judiciary Committee the final report on how the Obama FBI and DOJ handled the Clinton investigation will be published.

The anticipated date.

The principals within the report had two weeks for input. Their responses will be added for the final report, thought to be up to 500 pages. Due to the scale of the report the response phase was extensive.

Here is Inspector General Horowitz's letter. It's short.

This is phase 1 of the investigation. It's been expanded to include other things exposed since this started.

[Decades ago I read a paragraph in a John Le Carré novel that provided epiphany about my own government. A Russian spy is talking to another, alarmed that a case they were on was being investigated by American Congress. The second spy said, "Don't worry. It's what Americans do. They investigate each other continuously. A British author wrote that. This is like that. Trump is being investigated ceaselessly and Trump is investigating in turn. It's yet to be seen who does more lasting damage to whom.]
