Vanity Fair cuts more staff

Link by Drudge. Let's look real fast.

Words words, something something six employees boo-hoo more words, fifteen employees, new editor, fer'ner name, words words, reshaping teams, so what, will hire, no one cares,

21 million?

Royal wedding, prince and Markle, now a duchess, hum de dum, easy come, easy go, more words.

Man, that speed reading book sure has come in handy. If only I could find it. I'd review it to use on the memory improvement book. But that one's lost too.

Comments must be better.

$10 says they're not nice.

* One less thing to ignore in the checkout lane.

* The back of the Charmin package is more interesting.

* Or Vodka ingredients.

Ha! That would be "potato."

* The National Enquirer...by today's "journalistic standards" it probably has more factual stories anyway.

* NO ONE HAS EVER BEAT THEM IN COURT!

ding

Oh, but they have been beaten in court.

The cuts were required to fund Graydon Carter’s lavish pension. It’s kind of like eating the seed corn as rh would say.

Vanity Fair is all about snobby gossip. There's nothing wrong with that and there'll always be a market for it but the market for that sort of thing has moved to the internet so Vanity Fair's doomed.

I might add that the market for just about everything has moved to the internet. Okay, I've just said the obvious. But it still will come as a shock when a magazine as established and central to a certain segment of the public, a magazine such as The New Yorker, goes under. But that's coming too.

Do millennials care? No. Next.

The Internet has created countless new and varied news and gossip sources for all wavelengths if the political spectrum. Sure, making decent money is still a problem. By why mourn the well-deserved death of an utterly partisan rag?

The can live off selling the archives of their once vibrant corpse.
