Ex-Clinton aide does on power-mad tirade against cops: "You may shut the f up!"

The woman was financial adviser to Hillary Clinton before, until this she was commissioner with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Now she's unemployed.

Her daughter was passenger of a car that was pulled over. Turns out the car was not registered so it was towed off. The kids called this woman to come pick them up. Once there, the woman pulled the old, "do you know who I am" routine and that did not go over very well with the two policemen who kept their cool through the whole thing.

I hate watching these videos. But maybe you like them. The sound of her nagging voice and repeating the same line of attack, her aggression and her entitlement make me want to punch her in the face through the screen. It's not good for the blood pressure. But again, maybe you'll really dig the colossal fail.

She drags in irrelevant tidbits trying to demand respect. The kid's higher degrees at ivy-league schools, the people she knows, the number of houses she owns. The longer she goes the more she sounds like a Jewish American princess off her mood enhancers. And that voice. OMG, the ears protest, make it stop.

She followed through with her threat and that's why we have this video. She made the same noise with the police commissioner and he made this video public.

This is not how you handle your government power. Let it be a lesson for when we become powerful through government. It's done unemotionally. The next day, not in the moment. We accept the situation then quietly inform our contacts of our situation who then wipe it away. Like a mere traffic citation. It's done everyday throughout the land. It's a matter of style. Live better through smart style.

There is a happy ending to this story. She is no long working the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Now she's unemployed.

I can't watch that, but the little officer with the shaved head seems to be Italian based on his hand gestures. You can always tell an Italian, you just can't tell them much, right?

And "on Easter Sunday" no less!! It's worth watching, for the overall respect, calm authority and centered approach the officers were able to maintain and convey while she ratcheted up the insults and engaged in her power plays and petty tyranny.

In the end, the four "kids" (waved away by the mom as too much for their tender ears) received another much needed life lesson to add to their quality education.

Her "You may shut the F up" near the end revealed the underlying disrespect and disdain that was present the whole time behind the pseudo congeniality and faux reasonableness she was attempting to use to control the situation.

A petty tyrant is defined as one who lords his or her power over others. Preliminary empirical work suggests that tyrannical behaviors include arbitrariness and self-aggrandizement, belittling others, lack of consideration, a forcing style of conflict resolution, discouraging initiative, and noncontingent punishment.

The petty tyrant teaches the warrior to develop a strategy utilizing the four attributes of warriorship: control, discipline, forbearance, and timing.

Beyond the smallness of the woman, what the video also reveals is the effective utilization of those four attributes by the two officers. Kudos to them.

If you can't be a tyrant, why work for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (or Hillary Clinton).

Karma!

Too bad she wasn't tazed.
In a few months she'll have another government job thanks to all those friends she mentioned.

Regular people would get tazed for that.
Unspoken government immunity at work.
Glad this petty tyrant/grifter got canned.

The Port Authority is a nest of corruption and full of sinecures for political hacks. But that is what New York and New Jersey Politics is all about.

Well, that was distressing. It's been decades since I've had any exposure at all to a yenta. Notice that once she got revved up she talked right through or over the officer? That's the most maddening thing of all about contact with a yenta. You're not real, only she is real. And that horrible crap about my child the Phd. All that flashing of credentials crap. It goes on. It continues. I ran away from it decades ago but it's still there.

Troop, were NJ and NY better served when the mob ran the place? Seems to me that the Democratic mob is even worse as far as the graft and corruption goes. Or, is it the fuckin Mc's that is the problem?

Why do you think they charge $15 for the tolls at the PoA bridges and tunnels (hint it is not just to maintain the infrastructure), they need to pay off all their crony buddies.

At least the real mob had a better class of corrupt grifters. This broad actually thinks she's entitled to interrogate the cops because she's been inconVEEENienced. A Credentialled Person, in charge of many cops, has been inconveeeenienced. Oh, NO! Although I have to say if she's been canned over this then maybe, MAYBE, somewhere deep in the swamp, a single lonely lizard is waking up to the idea of accountability.

Wow, $15 for a toll bridge? The top toll for a San Francisco Bay Area bridge is $6. (There is always the risk that it might disintegrate out from under you, though.)

Happy ending, but, as ampersand points out, she'll have a cushioned landing and a full recovery bounce. This is not the kind of fall that ends in splat........For all her years in government service, she doesn't seem to know how to throw her weight around. I've had occasion to see it done with far more finesse and politesse than she exhibited. I wonder if that's the skill set she brings to other problems.
