Pence's walking boots

Something about some team named the 49ers taking a knee, whatever that means, sounds painful, in a game with the Colts.

Honestly, I thought 49ers were historic California gold rush miners from whom we get the term sourdough. Maybe that was the Klondike gold rush that followed soon after. On account of it being cold. Whichever, Sourdoughs were people who kept their bread starter in a pouch close to their bodies for warmth. Then they'd go into shops in San Francisco and customers could smell them from blocks away due to their fermenting bread dough.

And by not bathing.

Pence is the type to sit there and take the abuse hurled by the Hamilton cast. That is his reasonable character in the face of unreasonableness and outrageousness. Of course Pence walking out was choreographed. By Trump.  Just as the all the knee-taking and sitting through the national anthem is choreographed. Pretty cool, eh? A president who is antagonistic and media manipulative and confrontational as liberals are. Trump knows even though media is 100% against him that media still cannot keep themselves from reporting what Trump wants to be seen.

Pence put on his boots and went a go-go. NFL seems determined to alienate a large number of their audience.

And Trump's the only Republican who wants to fight back. McConnell, Ryan, Jeb, Rubio, etc. they only care about two things:

- What will the New York times say?
- What do the Big Donors want ($$$)?

49ers keep kneeling because the SF Bay area doesn't consider itself part of USA. Its a "Global City (Metro Area)".

So there's no blowback.

FWIW sourdough was brought to the gold fields by the Frawgs although it goes back to the Romans.

The term describing a grizzled old prospector originated in the Klondike, however, which somehow brings us back to the City By The Bay
