This elicited some strong comments. And one guy making dopey low level comments in series, completely missing the points made by everyone while demanding things be explained to him with no intention of listening.
Maybe this isn't so interesting to you having seen it all already and right here. Still, this one stuck out because you don't usually see such strongly committed support. So many things to say about this ... but the overriding thought I have is that President Trump now has an unstoppable synergy with the MAJORITY of the American people. Yeah, you can toss all the "approval rating" polls in the ash bin. Yeah, you can toss her "popular vote" in there with it. Because Trump has made it fashionable (again) to be on the RIGHT side of societal issues. Trump has been RIGHT about ANTIFA. Right about the Hollywood sewer. Right about how to help hurricane victims, Right about colleges crushing free speech, Right about restoring our economy, Right about stripping away strangling regulations, Right about his 70-point Immigration reform, Right about Obamakkare, Right about the GOPe, Right about the middle class, Right about trade negotiations, Right about his cabinet selections, Right about Tweeting, Right about Iran, Right about NKorea, Right about our cultural rot ... and dead-on RIGHT about respecting our national anthem. Sure, the anthem is all pomp, circumstance, and symbolism. The leftie media derides flag wavers, and the PC culture says the American flag represents slavery, genocide, and oppression across the globe. Well ... they're WRONG. The majority of Americans; young+old, recent+6th generation, poor+rich ... RESPECT our flag and have a completely balanced view of America ... good+bad. And they know that on balance our nation (its people) are GOOD. The vast majority of Americans genuinely CARE about each other and are anxious to share their personal gifts (see: Cajun Navy). I am always astounded how quickly GoFundMe and other calls for charity are answered.
President Trump is now resonating with the American people, like nobody ever expected ... especially HER. Just as I predicted Trump would be our next president the DAY he rode the golden escalator ... because I FELT the massive discontent with our political class ... I now f-e-e-l the resonance and downright admiration more and more Americans have toward Trump. He has survived the onslaught of vote recounts, fraudulent "rape" charges, groping charges, Russia nonsense, and the constant stream of leftist HATE spewed at him ... on TV 24/7 ... and on the internets. Constant HATE. HATE, HATE, HATE. And yet he is getting stronger. Every news cycle of HATE stories directed at him are getting shorter and shorter. The immediate and overwhelming Trump-defense push-back is overwhelming and crushing the HATE. The left is reeling. All of their go-to dirty tricks are falling flat on the floor. In part, because Trumps own "outrageous" behavior (his open honesty, and anti-political-speak ... anti-PC-speak) has been "baked into the cake". The American people are embracing an HONEST Politician. One who has ALREADY made MORE good on his campaign promises than the entire GOPe combined. The American people are learning that their President MEANT what he said, and has surrounded himself with people eager to carry his philosophy into the bowels of our dysfunctional Federal Govt.
And once again ... Trump is RIGHT about the NFL kneelers. They are "protesting" black criminals getting DEAD by doing STUPID things by disrespecting the country that gives them the FREEDOM and TOOLS to make something productive out of their lives ... if they simply STOP being a criminal. The (black) NFL stars are living evidence of what our flag represents ... millionaire 20-something black men ... enabled and nurtured by America. Nurtured and supported by NFL fans who PAY to see their skills, discipline, and hard work in display. But when you bite the hand that feeds you and take a sh*t on your LEVEL playing field ... the people turn away. Americans don't suffer FOOLS ... for too long anyway (e.g. 8-years of Obama). These FOOLS are wrecking the house that WE built together! So we fans have MOVED OUT. Let the players masterbate in lonely desperation ... like Weinstein ... who bullied an audience of one to watch him jerk it into a potted plant. Hey NFL! Your audience is leaving ... and it's not even the 2-minute warning in the first half. And don't expect us back anytime soon. Because we are also onto your FAKE mea-culpa. Sure ... you thought all along that you would "defend" your "angry, black players" ... showing them respect and support ... only to later call for mandatory flag respect. Too late. Your fans don't like being jerked around. So we won't be coming back soon. The NFL Commissioner will need to be FIRED before I switch on NFL Red Zone. The last part is the key. Trump hasn't been as successful at getting people to go (e.g. Koskinen). But even there, he's not been a failure. In fact, I think he is having success at doing what the GOPe has only dreamed of doing. Trump's going after the donor base.
It started, and continues to this day, with going after the blue collar base. These are the people the Democrats took for granted, yet are also the ones that pay the union dues. He hasn't delivered to coup de grace on unions, but his army is building and theirs is not.
In the meantime, Hollywood and the New York news set is having to face up to its own rotted core. They accused him of boasting about groping, while trying to hide and ignore their own long history of doing it all the time. They thought their houses were made of stronger stuff, and forgot they carried their own glass window all over the place.
We saw him moving the Overton Window last year. If you don't worry whether other people like you, yo can get a lot done.
Kudos, Chip, for cruising the internet for us and bringing back riches. I don't even watch the news, so things happen, like when playing cards with family, I have to admit, no, I haven't heard of the big earthquake in Mexico. Urg.

There's a lot of talk about GOP old guard types being challenged and unseated in 2018 primaries by paleoconservative Republicans. Frankly, Ill believe it when I see it. GOP voters are unreadable. Most of the time their rebellion is all talk no action. But if they do follow through in 2018 it will make Trump's agenda enactable.
Reality suggests that one does not need to listen to or watch televised news to maintain a modicum of awareness of ongoing world events these days.
In fact, I'll wager that keeping abreast of earthquakes, fires and hurricanes, geographically and politically, is almost if not as easy as trolling through the internet sludge at bottom of the catfish pond, to find and post nakedly passive aggressive welcome pictures!
Holding that awareness, I also second appreciation for the cruising and returned riches shared in posts and well said comments.
