He was in One Magic Christmas, not only the worst ripoff of It's A Wonderful Life ever made, but one of the worst movies ever made. I regret to say that I saw that one in the theater and I remember HDS and that's about it.
He was the best there was at what he did. I haven't seen Repo Man or Alien in years, but I can still picture him in those roles. He always stood out, even in small parts. He made some hammy lines sound authentic.

For many years, Dean Stanton was one of the best bad guys in Hollyweird.
I repoed a Mazda 626 for a banker friend in the early 90's. It was quite the adventure, sort of like having the legal right to steal a car.
I always enjoyed Harry Dean Stanton. I was surprised that he died yesterday. I assumed that he'd died several years ago.
