The Duke should have been a multi Oscar winner. One for the Searchers for sure. Maybe one for the Quiet Man and one for She Wore A Yellow Ribbon.When you look at who won instead of him you have to laugh.But it is the age old problem. Popularity means you don't get an Oscar. Some obscure moron in an independent film gets it instead.
I always thought it was ridiculous how many great movie stars had to get an honorary.Bob Hope. Kirk Douglas. Lillian Gish. Barbara Stanwyck. Lauren Bacall. Maureen O'Hara.
