Beware the Walking Dead Part 2

John McCain Backs Transgender Ideology, Slams Donald Trump’s Policy

by Neil Munro Brietbart News July 26, 2017

GOP Senators John McCain and Orrin Hatch are objecting to President Donald Trump’s forceful rejection of the progressives’ demand that the Pentagon help some service members live as members of the opposite sex.

“Any American who meets current medical and readiness standards should be allowed to continue serving,” said a morning statement by Sen. McCain, who appears to accept the claim that a person”s gender identity” should be respected by the Pentagon and enforced on other soldiers.
There is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train, and deploy to leave the military—regardless of their gender identity. We should all be guided by the principle that any American who wants to serve our country and is able to meet the standards should have the opportunity to do so—and should be treated as the patriots they are.
“I don’t think we should be discriminating against anyone,” Hatch told USA Today in a statement which seems to accept the claim by transgender advocates that any disagreement with a person’s claim to have an opposite-sex “gender identity” should count as illegal discrimination. Hatch continued:
Transgender people are people, and deserve the best we can do for them. I look forward to getting much more information and clarity from our military leaders about the policy the President tweeted today.
Earlier, Hatch used Twitter to signal his support for the transgender ideology, which would declare that a person’s gender identity trumps their male-or-female biology. In practice, this means that men who declare a female “gender identity” would have the government-enforced right to use women’s’ bathrooms and showers and to compete against women in women’s’ sports leagues — and to force other women to say they are women, regardless of genitalia.
(McCain is doing his usual thing. Dissing a Republican President and the normals to curry favor with the liberals and the media. Anything a normal person believes in is something he is against. How this guy was ever considered a conservative is just beyond me.
He will hold on to power until it ripped out of his cold dead fingers.  Same with senile old Hatch. They are the epitome of swamp creatures. The living symbols of why we need to pass a constitutional amendment to institute term limits.
It just amazes me how people can't accept that a dude with a dick can not go into the ladies bathroom. I don't care if he thinks he is a broad. Just because he thinks he is  a car doesn't mean we should let him drink gasoline and live in a garage. Jeez.)

Yeah.

Soooo much better to follow the Yurpeans and others and be on the right side of history where the arc of justices bends over.

But you know what?

Right now I'm too deeply concerned about a similar degrading disrespect lobbed right at my face pow right in the kisser. The San Francisco friend who I determined excommunicated me by not responding to two lengthy emails wrote back opening with, "OMG, Becky-Bo..."

That son of a bitch called me Becky.

Did I just now say deeply concerned? I meant to say laughing my ass off.

It's just too homo to be serious.

I'm still laughing about that.

The rest of his message was dreadful. Really dreadful. Really really dreadful. That's three reallies right there. The events he listed as litany as if normal sequential events that get worse and worse and worse explained why he couldn't write back immediately as his usual self.

And even though everything is worse I feel a lot better. I'm glad my conspiracy theory is wrong. Selfish, I know, but that's who I am.

(in private browsing for Facebook avoidance I must sign in just to say this.)

But how will transgenders get their reassignment surgeries if not through the VA?

At this point, I think McCain is driven by personal hatred for Trump. What a shame and what a glaring turnabout in 24 hrs. Sad.

This whole "bending the arc of history" saying is SObama. He and his cronies always used it to seem like he was changing history for the better. Great Bambini bending his magical arc, muscular pecs/moobs aglow with righteous light perspiration and media drool! Werq it, Barry!
Personally, I always visualized it as bringing everyone back down; we were up there at the top and then he bent it and everyone slide off. Of course, the "arc of history" is a rip off of MLKjr's quote "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." Stealing from his betters and getting it wrong. Of course. Making it all about himself. Of course. Never getting fact checked. Of course. What a douchebag!

John McCain is driven by personal hatred of all traditional Americans. He is driven by his need for the approval of the liberal media. He is a vampire.

Amartel said...

Like all liberals his neediness is exhausting.

Amartel said...

The Demedia were all mad at him for voting to have debate on Obamashitcare Lite so he had to "balance" that by favoring trans in the military. It's all about John McCain, his image, his legacy, his needs. (It's not about America.)

McCain has turned out to be a true Manchurian Candidate in oh so many ways--never thought that this would happen to the son and grandson of two Navy Admirals and a fighter-pilot grad of Canoe U. His bravery, loyalty and patriotism while under torture as a POW was exemplarly. I'm baffled.

edutcher said...

Canoe U?

Hatch better watch it or the Mormons will bar him from whatever it is they can.

Junior sounds like the meds are working.

"John McCain is driven by personal hatred of all traditional Americans."

This is absolutely the case, blindingly so. It is his one true passion.

Guess what gets funded if the sex change operations aren't part of the Defense budget?

It's big, it's shiny, it's from Sea To Shining Sea, and it keeps the illegals out.

Yes, McCain is the Manchurian Candidate in oh so many ways. As far as the bravery, loyalty and patriotism while under torture as a POW was exemplarly. Well, did't they say that about the Manchurian Candidate as well?

Speaking of which: The 7 Republicans opposing repeal-only bill: Capito, Collins, Heller, McCain, Portman, Alexander, Murkowski. All of them but Collins voted for it in 2015.

So, what has changed (other than it becoming more and more obvious that Ocare is unaffordable and unsustainable)?

chickelit said...

How dare John McCain assert that the "medical needs" of transsexuals are on the same footing as medical needs for wounded combat soldiers and vets. That is essentially what it comes down to.

How very Goldwater of him: "You don't need to be straight to fight and die for your country. You just need to shoot straight."

But of course McCain is naive and stupid on this. And yes I can say that w/o impugning his prior service and his unfortunate tumor.

edutcher said...

Question is, at what point does his prior service fail to count anymore?

As many an historian has noted, Benedict Arnold would have been one of our greatest heroes had he died of his wounds during or after Saratoga.

For McCain, nothing seems to count for him but what he wants and it seems to have been that way since he left Hanoi.

McCain made $21 Million on what is supposedly a $175,000 salary. I know he's old but...

He came to do good and did very well.

Has someone talked about what a "war hero" McCain was, yet?

What possible justification is there for "Trans-genders" in the Military?

People can't serve in Military for all kinds of reasons. too young, too old, too fat, too thin, too short, too tall. People get rejected for all kinds of aliments that military just doesn't want to deal with.

Pat Buchanan was rejected for having a bad knee. But he could have served in the Navy or Air Force base where he didn't have to walk 20 miles with a 60 lbs. pack. James Stewart only got in because he went on crash eating programme and gained enough weight. JFK had a bad back and had his doctor lie about it. Reagan wore contact lenses and fooled the eye examiner.

rcocean said...

When are people going to admit Johnny McCain is an egotistical grand-stander and NOT a conservative but a closet social liberal?

We've gotten this kind of crap from McCain for 18 fucking years. But no matter what he does or says, there's always 50% of the so-called conservatives who keep giving him a pass.

edutcher said...

Doubtful on the 50%.

A lot are Whigs and a few Democrats who know he's the best Republican they've had since Arlen Specter.

Not sure about Buchanan, but I think the physical is pretty much the same for all the services. Running between decks would kill anybody;s knee and, as for Jack Kennedy, I'm sure it was old Joe who wanted all his boys to have a service record.

After all, he didn't volunteer for duty in the South Pacific.

"...readiness standards..."

It seems to me that if you do not know who you are and what you are, you are not "ready."

This is not a slam on members of our military; if a soldier is shell-shocked (or is that called PTSD now?), he is not "ready"; that does not mean he is not "worthy."

Exit question:

Can a people live together in harmony if they do not agree on fundamental reality?

Can you just wake up one day and announce that you have always felt uncomfortable as a Private and now believe you were born a General? Instant promotion? Cheaper than sex reassignment.

rcocean said...

"After all, he didn't volunteer for duty in the South Pacific."

He volunteered for PT boats - which was dangerous duty. Small, wooden boats, filled to the brim with gasoline and torpedoes.

Sometimes, after going on out a patrol, JFK would have to sleep on a wooden plank and get pain shots because his back was so bad.

Some of his fellow officers questioned his judgement, but none questioned his courage.

I think the military bounces you for all kinds of mental illnesses and conditions.

BTW, is it just me, or did anyone else not even know about "Transgenders" until about 15 years ago?

Jack Kennedy lost his cushy Embassy Row job because J Edgar Hoover found out too much classified info was sliding across too many pillows and told FDR, "You do something about it or I will".

Whether volunteering for PTs was his idea or Old Joe's, I remember when the PT-109 movie came out, a lot of officers who had also served in the Solomons said anybody else would have gotten a court martial. Not to mention the fact, if what he did was so great, he should have gotten the Navy Cross, but instead ended up with the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal, so clearly somebody did question his good sense.

Remember, there's a big difference between brave and stupid.

BTW, it was towing the guys after the boat was sunk that did his back in.

Before that, they were called cross-dressers.

There is a process for that that. It was called segregation. People lived separate lives. They did it in Ancient Greece in Sparta. They did it in Ancient Rome with the plebes and the patricians. They did it in the middle ages with the serfs and the nobility. That is how human society always devolves. Until there is a revolution to upend the status quo and the elites are overturned. For a nonce.

Back in the '60s the book Myra Breckinridge came out and that was the first time I heard of such goings on. By my 20th high school reunion at least one of our classmates had decided to lop off his junk and become a girl. I have met two other dudes who have done the same thing, one has since died and the other is well known.

So the idea has been around for a long time, but now, due to the degenerate and degraded nature of our society we now must celebrate insane deviancy. My dear sweet ex-, Cardinal Spellman '67, always used the word "decadent" to describe ancient Rome and now I think we can apply it to our country.

Me, I am old school - this is my rifle, this is my gun...

Trooper York said...

The celebration of decadence and deviancy is always at the heart of a destruction of a society. We are in that stage right now.

I watch the Johnny Carson reruns on MeTV. One show from the 80's, he mentioned in his monologue that two men got married on TV(Phil Donohue show). He said one of the men was wearing a dress. Johnny sounded really distressed and upset about it. Johhny said "What the hell is happening in this country?" Say that today and you will be cancelled before the end of the show.

Introducing Jennifer Pritzker billionaire, conservative republican, vet and major donor to John McCain. Ugh.
