Reality Winner

She looks nice.

She has a strong online presence, putting it all out there. Like us.

And like everyone I'm pleased the government finally stopped a single leaker but this case doesn't signal they're beginning to manage all this.  Rather, this case is one of being so obvious her activities could no longer be ignored. She made the clumsy mistake of not disguising her email contact with media. Investigators matched the names of people who printed secret material with email contacts with media. Her activity didn't pass the merest investigation. She gave herself away.

She is patriot, you see. As all patriots she is deeply concerned with Russia interference with U.S. elections. She had top clearance and she worked for a company that tracked voter registrations. She had information about Russian interference with that. While nothing to do with actual voting machine programs. Her work was tangential to all that. Still, she had information, and being passionate patriot, and passionate anti-Trump as well, she knew what she had to do.

She had to do it.

More interesting to me than all that is how she had her top clearance. How did she learn four languages so quickly? How was she rated by government for those languages, her age defies how that is done, in government, one at a time and she's not old enough for that process.  I don't know. It might be so simple as passing a test. Still, she was rated for those languages, qualified as interpreter, and that was her path to security clearance that she used later in the private sector. And I find all that exceedingly clever. I'm compelled to form an affinity with her. I admire all this.

All that while being so intensely politically misguided. Her mum says she's passionate.

I hope they lock her up forever. And throw the key in a cesspit.

Related to this, sort of, Drudge linked to a NYT report the flood of such leaks has diminished to a trickle. But I don't believe anything like that anymore. Tomorrow Drudge can link another report the flood of leaks in increased. They're just links to questionable media after all.

Here is a list of links to PJ Media covering various aspects. Duckduckgo [pj media, reality winner]

Point is, you have to start somewhere.

She's a puffy buffy who seems to have radicalized. From the photos I've seen she appears to be mid-transition decision.

Her poor mum. "Passionate" is the term you use to describe the son or daughter you don't understand but want to support.

She has got a pretty hot body. Very tight ass, abs and tits.

I like that she doesn't look like she would have tats but her back is full of them-nice contrast.

I read the Intercept article. I know the smart thing is to hold off on opinions until more information is available, but this is some serious sh*t here. I don't much like Miss Reality, but this information is in the actual public interest.

This leak did not reveal names of agents, or of our contacts, or anything that helps our enemies (I don't think at least) At most it exposes a ongoing investigation. But this is the strongest evidence yet of the 'Russians hacking the election'

more data needed!

A test for Sessions.

I'd go with

- less than 10 years - bad.

- more than 10 years - good.

Then why did The Intercept agree to the redaction's?

They should break her out of detention and shoot down like a dog in the street.

Maybe that will give the rest of them something to think about.

Last I looked, the judge does the sentencing.

Folks don't realize that while the judge imposes the sentence, the presentence investigation done by the Probation Dept. is critical. They recommend a sentence to the court. That's all my bride did the last 15 years or so of her career. They're a lotta work so, as you might imagine, Federal workers were pleased when my bride gave up her supervision caseload[she hated supervision] and did most of the presentences in the Madison Federal Court. 10 years is the max. This woman's social media and her state of mind/intent will factor into the sentence. Most likely, 48-60 months. First offense carries a lot of weight. If her attorney gets her mind right and she expresses contrition that will help her. Many PO's will take someone at their word if they express remorse. My bride would delve into the remorse and give it little value if fake. Defense attorneys know how important these presentence investigations are. They would try to schmooze, bully, etc. The smart ones learned quickly that horseshit didn't fly w/ my bride. The US Attorneys also exert varying degrees of pressure on the presentence investigator.

Bride. That is so sweet.

It means a constant state of just now being married, everything constantly new, all future and no past to mention. I like it.

Yesterday I did some five crossword puzzles at lunch. BLAM! Like filling out hospital forms, and one of the clues was "Avoided going to church" and the solve was "eloped." Cute.

There are more clever clues for "elope" than any other word. They're spotted like that *snap* but always amusing.

Ran off together.
Took the honey and ran.
Run off and form a union.
Tied together on the run.
Bypass the altar.
Take a bride.
Take flight and unite.

And so forth.

True, Ed. And if the DOJ seeks a 10 year punishment but the judge sentences less I'll give Sessions credit for trying. That is unless his decision to recuse himself comes into play.

I say 10 years because that's the max term for a single count of "Disclosure of classified information." A creative prosecutor could put her away for a long, long time.

She met with a senator before the leaking. Collusion?

Prolly. Junior, Grahamnesty, Sasse, Little Marco.

There might be a silver lining.

How does recusal come into play?

This would be handled by DOJ prosecutors, US Attorneys.

Unless called as a witness, I don't see how he gets involved.

Chip, We will be married 40 years on 6/11/17. Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown the day we wed. My old man was a big horse player and we had set aside time between the ceremony and reception to watch the Preakness. I always call her "my bride." There is a bit of ball busting in that, but really just a bit.

"I don't see how he gets involved."

That's the problem.

“During the course of the last several weeks, I have met with the relevant senior career Department officials to discuss whether I should recuse myself from any matters arising from the campaigns for President of the United States."

“Having concluded those meetings today, I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States."

That's from Sessions' official statement on his recusal. It's as broad as it could possibly be. Does that cover a leaks case if the leak was about suspected Russian attempts to influence the election? Trump's enemies will certainly take that position. That leaves him out of the loop on using this case as an example to prevent or limit future leaks. Trump will essentially be without his selected AG on this and damn near everything else they will use to attack him with in the future.

The recusal decision looks worse every day. I won't be surprised to see him resign to avoid impeachment charges on the recusal issue.

The AG doesn't get involved in a case like this. I'm assuming the US Attorney for the appropriate area handles something like this.

I honestly don't see what the panic over Sessions is about, particularly as this has nothing to do with the Trump campaign investigation.
