"Cancel Donald Trump state visit, says Sadiq Khan, after London attack tweets"

Via Drudge: The London mayor, Sadiq Khan, has called on the British government to cancel a planned state visit by Donald Trump after being criticised in two tweets by the US president.

Trump initially criticised Khan for his response to the London Bridge terrorist attack; though, in doing so, he misquoted London’s mayor. Khan’s office pointed out Trump’s error later but the president responded by accusing London’s mayor of making a “pathetic excuse”.

Appearing on Channel 4 News on Monday evening, Khan said Trump was wrong about “many things” and that his state visit should not go ahead.

“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” he said.

“When you have a special relationship it is no different from when you have got a close mate. You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong. There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong.”

I'm sure May will be happy to honor Khan's request. Which will tell us that Britain is definitively part of the Ummah.

All that surveillance and for what?
People actually threatening the state and its people, on government tv no less, and nothing happens.
Nothing.
Happens.
No wonder jihadiheads are emboldened and actually carry out attacks. The only consequences are after-the-fact and these morons don't care about after-the-fact.
I'm not just talking about Britain.

Same country that had a terrorist behead a soldier in front of Whitehall. No lessons learned in subsequent years, except by terrorist that now target civilians. MO still the same.

We know what you stand for. You are a terrorist promoter and sympathizer. That's fairly well established. And frankly, I hope someone has the balls to make sure that Sadiq Khan is found floating in the Thames face down.

Everything we stand for? Really?
That seems a bit extreme.

I think President Trump should cancel the trip on his own.

They need us a lot more than we need them.

I would tell them that when they stop prosecuting people who speak out against Muslim terrorism by claiming it is hate speech....then he would visit. Enough with the political correctness.

There is a problem with England. If they want to pay the Danegeld then we have no reason to align ourselves with them.

Trump should just say...I support the working man of England....not the elitist Muslim metro-sexual who aid and abet terrorism with their bullshit moral equivalence and phony CNN press events. Let the soccer hooligans and the real English stand up for their people. Then it would be worth visiting. Otherwise take a pass and have a rally in Pittsburgh.

I'm not that familiar with Khan and his policies. Would he use his office to officiate at a gay wedding? Would he officiate at the wedding of a Muslim woman who defied her family and married an infidel? Would he shake hands with a man who drew a cartoon of the Prophet? Would he criticize those members of his religion who force the females to wear restrictive and uncomfortable clothing? Would he show his support by publicly hugging a young Muslim woman in a tank top?..........Criticizing Muslims who stab random strangers in the neck is a pretty low bar. I'd like to see him take on those underlying parts of the Islamic religion that breed such maniacs. I'd also like to see the media present him with the kind of probing questions that the average Republican has to face.

Who were the twits suggesting Trump be banned from visiting Britain when he was first elected?
