I did a lotta work for Kemper Insurance. Their specialty was the food industry. So, they had a lotta biz in Wisconsin where much food is produced and processed. Kikkoman has a soy sauce factory in Walworth, WI. They grow a lotta soy beans in WI. I had to go to the plant several times. Making soy sauce STINKS! I've also been to sauerkraut factories, also stinky. Now, there's a Nestle's chocolate factory in Burlington, WI. That is a wonderful smell.

How much better is that hand made sauce compared to the mass produced variety?

Panko bread crumbs, by contrast, were invented in Japan either during WWII or shortly after by baking bread with electricity.
