"Chinese woman showcases her 11-foot-long hair after saving it for 18 years "

60-year-old Ni Linmei claims that she has not had her hair cut in 18 years and is hoping to keep growing her locks before applying to the Guinness World Records.

The pensioner's hair measures some 11 feet in total.

However she has far to go to beat with the Guinness World Record for longest female hair belonging to Xie Qiuping from China with a length of 18-and-a-half-feet.

Ni Linmei reportedly spends two hours every day washing and drying her hair and normally winds it on top of her head to keep it out of the way.

Wow, I'm just looking at the dangers.

She's standing on a smooth service, with socks, no handrail or supports, and on top of a loose newspaper, with no one within I guess 18 feet of her if she slipped. And she's 60.

That's ignoring what sort of life forms are living in that hair and what looks to be round writing pens just a step away.

I have a friend whose hair is down past her knees. Too bad it starts on her back.

No, wait, that's not where this story was going - she has really long hair and when she combs it over her face she looks like Cousin It.

That last part is true.

Long hair - I can kind of see why one might do that, but the fingernails - you have got to be kidding me. The list of things one can't do when encumbered with prodigious keratin growths on one's hands is quite a long list. And disgusting to contemplate. The list of what one can do could probably be counted on the fingers of one hand. Eww...
