Rosie O'Donnell suggests Barron Trump is autistic

The lad fascinates me. I observed his behavior at Trump's last big speech to his supporters acknowledging his win, how he appeared somewhat baffled and followed directions to move forward and take position, first here, then there, him observing events around him and processing it all. It was very late at night, maybe early in the morning in New York.  I put myself in his position at ten years of age on stage, trying to comprehend what exactly is happening, and I must say I'm impressed with what I saw. But O'Donnell saw something else. In typical passive-agressive fashion, she cloaks her sinister heart with concern, "What an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the autism epidemic."

Such is the syllogism of a troubled mind. Premise A: autistic children are quiet. Premise B: Barron is quiet.  Conclusion: Barron is autistic. Suggestion: great opportunity to bring attention to autism. Aren't I wonderful?

Her concern, it's touching. Via Washington Times.

Twitter exposes the worse. The playground of Id.

But let's give her attention for something else instead of for her remarks about Barron. Credit where it's due, although pontificating here, she does seem a good sport. Eight mile rule and all that; tell them something they don't know about me.

I'm hard-pressed to think of something less important than a tweet by Rosie O'Donnell.

Why people find this sort of stuff stimulating is a mystery.

Maybe there's an evolutionary explanation.

I hope that they (meaning everybody) leaves this kid alone. First he is just 10 years old. TEN. 5th grade. Judging him by how he acts at that age when jerked out of a sound sleep, put onto a stage in the middle of the night is ridiculous.

Here is one of the problems about a kid like Barron. He is tall and as such people tend to think that he is older. This happened to my brother. I have friends with very tall young children. My daughter is over 6 ft and her husband is 6'5". Think their kids are tall for their age... yes. So people assume that you are a 10 year old when you are actually 7. Think you should act like a 16 year old when you are only 10. It is unfair to have expectations based on size.

BUT....so what if he is on the autism spectrum? My brother is definitely. High functioning Asperger's. Of course, that (Asperger's)didn't exist as a concept when he was young. He was just a strange geeky kid who sorted his comics by date and alphabetizes his stereo album collection even now. Quiet like Barron. Organized to the nth degree. Thinks about things from angles that are surprising and original. He didn't speak until he was 3 years old...but he could read well at that age. Turned out to be a masterful computer programmer and systems analyst. Don't knock being on the autism spectrum. You wouldn't have gotten to Mars with out my brother and people like him. I'm probably on that spectrum too. So?

Leave the kid alone. Stop writing about him. Of course, the liberals won't. They will be "concern trolls". They will stalk him and ruin his childhood out of their great concern and wanting to "help". These people are more than despicable....(read that word in Sylvester the Cat's voice).

The left, including the MSM, have the all to familiar double standard. Dem President kids are sacrosanct and Rep kids it's always open season. Chelsea was untouchable. The Bush kids go out drinking in college and it's covered wall to wall. Obama's kid is blowing weed @ a concert..on VIDEOTAPE, and you only see it on "fake news" websites. Rosie O'Donnell is an ignorant, shanty Irishman. Not worth us getting in a tither. It is obvious she is a profoundly unhappy woman.

She's drawing attention to herself by exploiting and pathologizing a small child. Which is disgusting. But there's more! People should realize that the celebs who comment on the news are doing so to keep their brand alive. No different than an ad for McDonalds or any other corporate brand. So the awful opinionating is done not just because they have awful disgusting opinions but also for personal monetary gain.

I'm glad Chip made this post. I was disturbed by how disturbed, or at least terribly uncomfortable Barron appeared standing close to his dad as Trump was making his victory comments. DBQ's comment about him being only ten but taken for a teenager is quite apposite as I put it down to adolescent self-consciousness. Maybe he's just a sensitive rather timid type. That would explain how protective of him his mother appears to be.

I thought everyone agreed to leave the kids out of the political fray.

Not that there is a reason to be, as it is nothing new; but the outrage is that Rosie will keep her job. But if a real doctor accurately recognizes Hillary is sick (before it is made official he her highness), then he's fired for saying something so horrible. Hence double standard.

Lem, Democrat kids, not Republican kids. Didn't you get the double standard memo?

Yeah... Palin talking about her youngest son was exploitation but Melania and Trump should definitely take this opportunity to make their boy the public poster child for autism. (Assuming that he's not just a tired 10 year old boy.)

I've already seen the random comment that some woman hopes they don't *hide* him.

Dear freaking dog... he's 10. His dad just became president. Hide. Him.

Thanksgiving night I was youTubing arias by mezzo soprano Elīna Garanča (at last! A woman opera singer I love!) and at the top of the recommended videos on the side was "Is Barron Trump autistic?" Twice! Out of nowhere. Cat videos and Game of Thrones videos I understand. I do watch those, but I have only watched the one DJT first 100 days video. Why did the algorithm throw up the fake news about the Trump son?

My 13 year old great nephew is already 6`4" and when he was only 2, concerned Mom Trolls would stop my niece and suggest her son see a doctor about his development problems. He truly did look 5.

I like Renee Fleming, too. Here is Anna Netrebko singing with Elina Garanca - what can I say, I fall in love too easily.

Flower duet.
